I can't really rate JL's completely because I was not able to be accommodated at any of the tables since I was in a wheel chair. The ramp was great! ? You guys had a push button to make the door open! ?? But... Then I couldn't hang out. ? Maybe another day once I'm free of the when chair... ?♀️

Extremely impressed with their parmesan garlic fries. Best, I've had all around Bismarck/Mandan area. Also had a classic burger with egg added on top. 1919 root beer was a nice cold drink to go with my lunch. Price is reasonable. Restrooms. Street parking.

I can’t say enough about the food! I had the peanut butter burger with a veggie patty and it was the best veggie burger I’ve had. The loaded fries with beer cheese were delicious. Also, a great selection of beers. The bartender (Cheyanne) was awesome - attentive and personable. Highly recommend!

Set up like an old pub, you can get awesome burgers and fries/chips here. Parking can be a little interesting but the food is totally work it!

We went to have a late lunch at JL’s and had a great time! We each ordered different beers and enjoyed all of the servers recommended options! I let him know I enjoyed sour beers and he offered me an option that was new and wasn’t even on the online menu yet, and it was a GREAT choice!! We all shared some of the pretzels with the beer cheese that was delicious (we chose salted and garlic Parmesan). I had the cheddar-peño burger and it was delicious! If you’re not a fan of heat be cautious; but as a heat seeker, I felt it was great! Plenty of heat but also packed with flavor so it wasn’t just knock your head off spicy! I paired it with some garlic parm fries for a perfect combo!! Can not wait to visit again soon!
JL Beers has outhwatering burgers and a good selection of local and small company beers. The atmosphere is what a small beer and burger joint should be. I went back two nights in a row because I enjoyed it so much.
