Incredible experience! The flavor combinations were perfect, food was done very well and did not disappoint.
Pictured and devoured wirh pleasure: Beet salad, Walleye Cakes, and Chicken Breast with smoked cheese and apple chutney:
Really enjoyed the setting, great place to take clients to, one of few places in town where wearing a suit feels right.
Best restaurant in Bismarck, hands down.
Very good food.
Always great food and service here. It’s pricey though
Very disappointed, I had been asking around where to go for a nice date night. I was told to go here. Salads were good. My mahi was good. My boyfriend ordered the filet. I couldn’t believe how tough it was for nearly 50$ I was expecting a lot better!! The server did not check up on us so I just said eat it. By the time the server asked how everything was he was done eating. I did mention how the steak was, he said well it’s gone so we can’t check it. I had already told him I wanted the desert combo plate. I wasn’t wowed by anything. I would not eat there again or recommend this place. I spend 180$ really expected more I guess…

Husband scored for birthday dinner reservations. From the moment we entered the restaurant we were treated phenomenal. We were greeted promptly, with menus and water. Our waiter was awesome. Gosh wish I could remember his name. (Brantley) So knowledgeable about the menu and so attentive. Started with the beet salad. Absolutely amazing. My husband ordered the steak, which was cooked to perfection. Husband not a veggie eater, however cleaned his plated. Don't know what the chef did, but I applaud getting my husband to eat veggies. I was torn between the scallops or chicken. I choose the chicken. Great choice. Stuffed with gouda cheese and berries. I couldn't get enough. We then went for the dessert sampler. WoW oh WoW!! Pumpkin cheese cake out of this world. My husband adored the choke cherry ice cream, and chocolate torte. Oh my gosh, how could I forget the choke cherry margarita..taste buds were thanking me over and over. Will not wait until the next birthday to visit Pirogue Grille. Definitely will make this restaurant a favorite anytime. Thank you for a great experience.

Passing through North Dakota during our road trip in the USA, we want to taste the local specialties. Obviously, bison meat is our option (for one of us). Direction the Pirogue Grille where we are very well received. There are people but no wait, neither to be seated nor to receive the dishes. Our server, Dean, is particularly kind and efficient!
We take the bison medallions as well as the sea scallops. Everything was very good, but lacked a little taste (especially the vegetables). However, nothing to complain about the meat and seafood, delicious!
Non-alcoholic cocktail and succulent glass of Washington Merlot! A good detour to make :)
Vegetarian options: It is not a vegetarian restaurant, on the contrary, but options are available!
Dietary restrictions: Many dishes available to find taste despite our restrictions!
Parking: There are free and paid locations on the street, more or less easy to find depending on your arrival time. We walked around a bit before finding a spot and were a few minutes from the restaurant.
Kid-friendliness: Place perhaps too cozy for children but markers and paper tablecloths are designed for them :)
Wheelchair accessibility: No problem accessing it in a wheelchair.

The scallops were some of the best I've ever had the pleasure of eating. I am thankful to the chef for the skill. My family had a fantastic experience.

What an amazing dining experience! The service was absolutely top notch. Loretta was our server & she made the meal so enjoyable. The food was beyond delicious. Highly recommend!
The food was fantastic! Such flavors! The atmosphere was cozy and perfect for friends getting together to enjoy a stupendous meal together. Dion, our waiter was very patient and kind in answering our questions. And taking care of my dietary needs that night. I highly highly recommend everyone try this place out.
