Shogun Japanese Steakhouse, Sushi & Thai

First time eating here. Saw all the great reviews so I was excited. Unfortunately, I was very disappointed. For starters I ordered the Miso soup(which they charge $2 for) it was good. They got the seaweed salad ($5.95)… while the seaweed salad was good, it was piled on top of sliced cucumber. There was way more cucumber than seaweed. Then I ordered two rolls, the yum yum roll and the hot hot roll. The hot hot was decent but not hot and not very flavorful. The yum yum was super disappointing. The tempura shrimp was so over cooked, it was nearly impossible to chew, which made the roll inedible. Very over priced all around. Would not recommend

Wonderful food and calming atmosphere! Dine in, take out, and delivery all great and food is consistent and delicious! Definitely my favorite sushi place in town!

The front desk hostess is so sweet and friendly! I ordered take out but the atmosphere inside is very high class. Would love to come back and dine in.

Vegetarian options: They had many vegetarian rolls. They also had vegetable fried rice and grilled vegetables with rice/noodles. There are many healthy vegetarian options here compared to other nearby restaurants.

My favorite place to eat sushi in town. Amazing deep fried eel cheese roll. I know it can sound weird to North Dakota tastes, but trust me it is amazing. Be adventurous and you will be rewarded. There other rolls, apps, and entrees are always great. Staff are friendly and tables are clean and comfy.

When we first arrived was worried cuz the waitress was rude because we came in asking if there were any available slots. But once the chef came in and prepared our food in front of us the waitress mood was better. The food is excellent and it was a nice experience.

The sushi here was not as good as I was expecting… it doesn’t have very much flavor at all. It was very disappointing. There a many, many better options in Bismarck.
