Only giving service 4 stars because often we had to wave down waitress for drink refills, other than that, food was great so was the experience.

The service was great but the food was terrible. Ordered the $14 waffle fries and they came out quickie the McDonalds hard and chest and Luke warm. Then ww got the $24 lasagna that didn't come with any bread so ordered garlic toast and that was hard and dried out along with the crunchy lasagna noodles. No wonder the place is always empty. Way overpriced microwaved food.

They have great food and i love their build got own option. The build your own pizza was amazing. They did over cook our mini burgers and the build your own burger. They were both suppose to be medium rare and there was no pink was well done. The French onion soup tasted great but we did have to send it back bc it wasn't hot. They warmed it up and it was great. The server you could tell was new, but she did a great job.

They forgot to put the chicken in the ravioli which was undercooked. The server charged 27 dollars for a side saland it was supposed to be four fifty. The hot beef sandwiches were mostly bread and potatoes hardly any beef. The prices are too high for the quality food you get.

We have eaten at The Tavern in Fargo before. Was excited to eat at the one in Bismark. Was very unimpressed. Ordered the same thing we did in Fargo. The Salmon and the Cajun chicken Alfredo. Both the salmon and chicken was way over cooked. The pasta had literally no flavor. Definitely not a Cajun flavor. There was hardly any chicken and the salmon was pretty much burnt on the bottom. Can’t even believe it’s the same place. The food in Fargo was so much better. I get inflation and all, but paid $80. For this?!?! Won’t be going to The tavern in Bismark again. At least the Bang Bang shrimp appetizer was good.
I was super hyped when the tavern came to Bismarck. Alas I finally made it for the Sunday brunch. Several years ago I had the brunch in Fargo and it was AMAZING!! All I can say about the one here in Bismarck is severely underwhelming. It equated to a mediocre continental breakfast that is free at a Days Inn. Hashbrowns half cooked and just plain mushy, scrambled eggs dry and tough, sausage links gummy, sausage gravy greasy with no gravy consistency. I think you get the picture. I was also trying to order a BYOBM but apparently that wasn't an option as I sat there and pointed to it on the menu and as I was about add what i wanted the server just walked away.

I met a friend at your bar. We ordered. She needed a special diet item from GF pizza list. Our food arrived. Her pizza was not tastey. The GF alfredo sauce was bland and unattractive on her pizza; my lettuce wraps had almost no chicken with a whole lot of fried wonton and the sauce to use: Way to spicey. I'd appreciate it if you would review your toppings and sauces for the menu and label them more accurately for taste tests. Thank you! Oh and the lady bartender talked my friend into a drink that was 100% awful. She should have just listened to what she wanted and taken the order as voiced to her. That's not cool!
So, 2 weeks ago: early October 2024, our family, big booth, great server named Marley (love him big time), the food: ugh, ugh, ugh, beef stroganoff sucked, fettuccine alfredo sucked as did smash burger. We love dining out. Hear me chef: Why are you so awful? Midwesterners know regional dishes; pick a gourmet lane, perfect that entrees taste test, then promote it uniquely because we 4 adults left uber disappointed with our paid tab.
Dietary restrictions: Make food tasty not bland. Find a way!
Parking: Perfect. We timed our meet up perfect to meet up at the right time to walk into St. Paddy's day fun! Easy peasy.
