Looked like they had some sort of event going on when I passed by on my bicycle I was going to refill some water when the owners invited me in for lunch and treated me like family even though i was just passing thru. Good people running this place I would support them
Great wines, peaceful setting, and a friendly owner with great stories about North Dakota, the wine, and a few other tidbits. I agree with another reviewer that this is an amazing hidden gem. There is an RV park (be sure to take Exit 317) with a well maintained gravel road. (Rodney has a story about that, too!) Thouroughly enjoyed my visit and overnight. Will be top of my list for my next North Dakota trip.
Campground on location, it is walking distance to the restaurant and tasting room and a stones throw to the vineyard. Had Friday night meal and tried a few different wines. Beautiful place.
We stayed at the Harvest Host portion of Red Trail Vineyards in the RV park section. We visited the coffee shop in the morning for some delicious fresh brew coffee and pastries. Great place and a hidden gem.
Great place! Love the wines, Friday dinners and the RV park. Owner is awesome! Catch up with FrankyandLola on YouTube.
Meeting people that r camping
A Great place to stop for a night with the RV and sip some rare wines. The small RV park has plenty of space between units with full hookup available. The vineyard is beautiful and the Owners are very friendly.
Needed a quiet place to regroup and enjoy the quiet and get a little writing in. This is just the ticket. After a little wine tasting with a friendly group, I walked through the vineyards. Rodney went out of his way to make me feel comfortable. And the sunset last night was spectacular.I have yet to do any writing though, haha! Oh, the wine was very tasty!
What a wonderful place to visit and to have a very nice meal. The staff was friendly and on top of things. Talked with Rodney outside after dinner and enjoyed the education on the first vineyard in ND, caring for a vineyard and making wine...in ND!!! Enjoyed the water feature while chatting. We will visit again. Liked the 'Dolly' wine too.
Every wine we tasted was spectacular. I had my wife. Mother and daughter with me when we stopped at Red Trail Vineyard. Rod was so friendly and talked with each one of us. We left with 5 bottles.

I'm not much of a wine drinker. I will occasionally have a glass but don't enjoy it very much. Red trail vineyards changed my opinion. Their wines are fantastic. I really enjoyed the wine tasting and bought several bottles.
WOW!!! What a little Gem of a place. Rodney and Susan are ABSOLUTELY AMAZING!!! Wecwill be her alot and there wine is amazing!!!
Relaxing atmosphere and great wines!
Great way to spend a Friday night! If you get a chance visit with the owner. He is very knowledgeable about the local wines AND he is very funny. The lobster boil was great!
Loved this little gem of a place! What could be better than after traveling all day but to relax with some good wine and engage in friendly conversation with the owners of the vineyard. We enjoyed tasting a variety of their wines and then purchasing a bottle to take back to our RV for dinner and another to share with family at home. Susan and Rodney truly made us feel like friends! What great hosts! We found them as part of Harvest Hosts and are glad they are members and allow us to stay on site overnight. Wish we could stay and check out their Friday night dinners. I'm sure it would be good and fun! Cheers to many more years of success at your vineyard, Susan and Rodney!
