This place doesnt understand what vegetarian means...or what no meat means. Ordered a bean burrito...had meat in it....drinks were weak..margarita tasted like limeade with a ton of sugar dumped in it. Food was flavorless. Service was also very slow. Got home and noticed we were overcharged.

Facility - very large with many seats. Nice local hometown cafe. WiFi very good. Staff friendly and cordial. Photos as of August 2023.

We sat down before 3 other couples even came in the restaurant. They all were given menus and two couples had their orders taken in the 20 minutes we waited. Attempts to get anyone's attention were ignored. Very sad experience.

If you want to get your food within an hour of ordering, go elsewhere. Very expensive with trash service!

A super nice hometown cafe with a good variety on the menu and the nicest staff. Food is home cooking and popular - crazy busy lunch crowd.

It was my first time at this cafe, went with my kids, and I would say it won't be my last. If I find myself in Cavalier (Pembina County) again, I will surely have a meal there. Old setting Cafe looks like a family owned restaurant. The food was great, the service was even better, and the lady was very friendly and courteous without being over patronising. The atmosphere was okay and basic, for small town maybe that's all that is needed.Customers should please stop sticking chewed bubble gums under the tables, it is bad for

First, it is a small town and they are having problems getting people to work, so when that happens, be grateful you got a waiter or waitress. They are trying so hard. The one owner is fighting a disease, they are under stress and hardly have any time to themselves. Knefla soup is delicious, as is the Mexican food. The turkey dinner is fantastic. It's nice they serve breakfast all day and the hash browns are cooked just right. Chris, one of the cooks, is EXCELLENT and she has a wonderful attitude. Deanna is a great waitress. It has plenty of seating, is clean, prices are not bad. My husband is VERY PICKEY and he loves their baked chicken. The pizza is expensive but so worth it, especially the taco. Even their chicken burger is very tasty. Please remember, you are in a small town with limited staff and they are doing the best they can. In NO WAY do they have a "we don't really care attitude". I eat there every week, am a cook myself as was my mom and grandma and I support them 100%. Beats the newest place to eat that opened and is cheaper!

Food lacked flavour, fish overcooked, the double was not 2 patties it was one cut in half, forgot the mayo for the sandwich, the appetizer came at the same time as our food and was nuked
