My husband Jim and I visited Pella, IA for the first time last week and after touring the Historical Village and the Veermeer Windmill declared ourselves famished and decided to try Nana's Cafe & Coffee Shop. (I remembered the shop front from our walk about the town center the day before as we were scouting out things to do, places to go and knew even then I wanted to check the cafe out because it looked too charming to miss.) We could not have been happier with our choice. Jim chose the bacon and brie sandwich on homemade bread and I couldn't resist the cheesy-bacon biscuit and egg and a glass fresh-made peach ice tea. AMAZING! In addition to the great food and the pleasant atmosphere, the best part was meeting and talking to the owner/chef who we learned was a former Twin Citian (we're from White Bear Lake). We are definitely planning a repeat visit to Pella and our visit will not be complete without a stop at Nana's.
If you have not tried the food here, you don't know what your missing out on. It's truly the best.. CHECK IT OUT.
