This is a pretty good place to go with a good hometown feel. The food is good, especially breakfast items. Dinner items are fair,. Some items are prepackaged. The salad bar is well stocked and attended regularly to refill items getting low. Most recently tried the chicken fried steak pictured below. Cream gravy is very good and well peppered. Always such a great place to eat. The food is delicious and the atmosphere is great. I recently came back to Devils Lake to visit and of course I ate at Mr & Mrs J's. The staff is always friendly, caring and courteous. The prices are very reasonable.
We stopped in on June 22, 2024 to eat. It was our first time eating here in over a year. We both ordered the chicken ranch wrap with fries and no drink and the food was great! My wife also got the soup and salad bar. Food presentation was nice! Our waitress was Katie and she was very friendly. The atmosphere here is very cozy and allot of the locals go here for breakfast. It was very clean. This place has the biggest soup and salad Bar in town. We only waited about 7-10 minutes...
