Going through town, was referred here from the front desk at the Comfort Inn. Just the type of place we like, a place the locals go. Loved the option of multiple meats. My preference was in order: Bratwurst, chicken, brisket, and bonus rib. They were all good though. Had cheese curds and mac-n-cheese (not in the pic) for sides. If you get an option, get the mac-n-cheese. Good selection of beers on tap as well. Did not get our servers name but she was great. She had a South American accent I believe. Super friendly and provided great service. If you like BBQ with some spice and good smoke flavor this was a great stop.

Their brisket Is delicious. I highly recommend going. I would have to say it's the best barbecue in Dickinson. I love the ambience and the peanuts that you can just crack and throw the shells on the floor.. which I'm not sure it's good for them but it's fun. There's also a bar so if you like to drink you can get pretty much whatever you want. A lot of people go there for their steaks.

Traveling the countryside we run in to all kinds of places. JD's BBQ was an excellent experience. Because we won't be in this part of the country again, we had to order more food to go. Amazing looking brisket and cornbread desserts will be waiting for us tomorrow. Bayli helped us make choices from house favorites that we didn't want to miss. Moist meaty ribs, smoked and roasted chicken and big chunky onion rings. Yummy.
