This was been our go to Chinese place since I was a child. Now almost 20 years later this is still our go to place. I have now gotten my husband hooked. This is probably considered an American Chinese restaurant but man it is good. I have not found a place in any of my travels with sweet and sour chicken, consume soil, egg rolls or general tso chicken I love better. I always come here for the soup to pick up and bring home if I am sick. I have seen much of the staff here for years.I hope this place never closes and one day I can introduce my future children to this place!!

Found hair in one of our dishes and the food was not hot when we got it. The chicken balls were hard and over cooked also. Then when I talked to the boss she accused me of lying. The place was busy and they only had 2 waitresses for the whole place. Took forever to get our order taken and for the food to come out. Paid $62 for hair and cold food.

Resturant is dated, food quality is just not good. Questionable chicken quality, sauce flavor seemed funky. Cream cheese wontons were just okay, fried wontons on their menu are literally just fried wonton wrappers in a bag.

Great luncheon menu and cheap. Food and service is good. Evening dinner menu is large variety with fair prices and large quantities. Kinda of a land mark place in Grand Forks. Always consistent with food and service. China Garden has always been an affordable restaurant. The food is good with a very large menu to choose from. Quality of food and service is very good. Have fun and enjoy your meal. We have been eating at China Garden for for decades. Thought I better mention there is Gluten free items to choose from for a good selection.

Ordered at 5:18, just now delivered at 7:12. Food as cold as the snow in my yard. No thank you, no apology. No idea what he was doing. This used to be a great resteraunt.. No longer. This will be our last order. Even after reheating it sucks.

Love the lo mein, fried rice, sweet and sour shrimp, egg rolls and general tao chicken. Just to name a few favorites!

Solid Chinese food that has gone down in quality over the years unfortunately. Still the best option in Grand Forks. Delivering can take about 30-45 mins. Pick up is quite fast, usually under 20 minutes. Fried rice used to be their strength but its quality has been up and down as of

Food is good but do not use their online ordering for delivery. I’ve tried it 3 times and our food has been up to 1 1/2 hours late. Just go dine in. The last guy who was checking on an order for me hung up after putting me on hold.

My friend and I went to China Garden last evening (12/6/2023). There were no other customers in the restaurant besides my friend and I. A slim tall waiter got us seated, gave us the menu and turned the lights on at our booth. A while later, a grumpy Chinese lady (owner?) brought us water. The waiter and the lady both sat down talking on their phones. They never returned to take our order. Ŵe tried to get their attention but they won't even look in our direction. We waited for 15-20 mins for the waiter to place our order. We then decided to leave the restaurant. Very arrogant employee/s and unfriendly management.

I had a waitress who is in a brown jacket like shirt who is completely rude didn’t ask us what we want to drink slapped my cup down on the table no manners whatsoever my food tasted disgusting I barely ate any of it, our waitress barely listened to us when ordered and no respect for my grandma when she was trying to speak to the waitress, my grandmas food didn’t look good at all her eggroll was raw she had a chicken one and the meat was raw and her dinner was tough she can’t chew it, waitress ever asked how everything was and how it tasted and my grandmas dinner was completely raw she had sweet and sour chicken and that chicken was even raw there is no way we are ever coming back here if I was a food critic I would immediately shut this place down and call the health department about the chicken being completely raw and tough, our waitress who served another man touched the top of the glass when she gave him his tea or coffee not sure which and slammed it down on the table which I remember being told never touch the top of a customers glass when in a restaurant

Dined it. The service was horrible, we waited 20 minutes just for our drinks. It was not busy at all, so the wait was unnecessary. My son wanted Chinese so bad, so that’s why we decided to stay. Panda had an hour and 30 min wait for a table and this was pretty much our only option. We got our food about 45 min into being there and that also was bland and gross. Paid $88 before the tip for the 3 of us, and never even ate an 1/8 of our dinner. Will never go back there!
