Nice place downtown. Big front glass windows, great classy decor. Good and service were great. We had a nice lunch.

Usually fantastic, but tonight was completely unacceptable. Ordered a rare ribeye that came out medium well. Our waitress said she would "tell the kitchen" and then left for the next twenty minutes. Over cooking a steak happens, but at no point was there any attempt to improve the situation. I was discounted 10% for a steak that sat on the plate till our waitress finally came back with the check.

The city park next to Ely's Ivy is special. Things gone, things becoming.

Recently moved here from Pennsylvania, and this is my favorite restaurant so far! The food is always good, timely service, and the atmosphere is nice. I definitely recommend their artichoke as an appetizer! My husband loves their rueben sandwich. If you’re looking for a little Friday cocktail their lemon drop is good!

Would not go back… went tonight to celebrate my 65 th birthday. Tried to order tater tots, they were out, tried to order duck , they were out. Friday night around 5:30 . Wait person Lexi stated “ they were out of a lot of things”.Ordered wedge salad, not iceberg lettuce that is traditional, but was given romaine lettuce ( outside leaves)not good.Establishment was not that busy, but waitress was not that attentive. For the price we expected more.

My hubby, daughter and I went on a surprise road trip to Grand Forks, ND. We saw the ballet (nutcracker) which was delightful, then enjoyed dinner and cocktails and Elvy and Ivy. The pumpkin spice latte martini was yummy. The bison was gamey, and the service was great. Very good happy hour for the price!!

There were about 20 of us who went for dinner before our nephew got married, and we had occasions to eat here, and I had the honey crusted pan fried Minnesota walleye, and it was clearly the best walleye that I have ever had in my life and I am 65 years old. Our server was kind and efficient and made the meal that much more enjoyable. This is an absolutely wonderful place to dine!

We occasionally come to grand forks and wanted to try a new place. The atmosphere is really nice. The server was polite and attentive, made good suggestions. I had previously had dental work so couldn't eat alot of what i would have liked to try. I had the pumpkin or squash soup which was very good. So thick it was almost too thick? I also had the mashed potatoes which were very good but cold. The server gladly re heated them and it was better but not hot. My husband had the gnocchi which he said was good. I thought the portion was a bit small. We also had the shishito peppersSome were really hot and spicy but my husband really liked them.Good decaf coffee and good selection of beers

I never leave reviews, especially negative ones, but this restaurant was extremely disappointing. I knew it probably wasn’t the best idea to try a new spot on my birthday, but a group of friends and I chose Ely’s Ivy to celebrate my 20th birthday a few weeks back. We were sat in a weird spot and it was almost completely silent in the restaurant. Almost every one of my friends said that their food was flavorless or lacked any sort of seasoning, including mine. I’m not sure if we just picked bad dishes because there are a lot of positive reviews here, but I see that the rest of the negative reviews complain that their food had little to no taste. It was absolutely not worth the near $100 that my husband and I spent on our meal. We will not come back.

Really interesting selection of great food and drink. One of the only places I've seen offering a teres major steak, which was excellent.
