My family and I were staying overnight in the area and Famous Dave's BBQ was close to our hotel. When we got off the interstate, my husband immediately zoomed in on Famous Dave's. We checked into our hotel and placed our order online, it was ready within 25 minutes. The curbside server came out promptly when we arrived (6pm). My husband and son both ordered the rib combo and I chose catfish fingers... everything was DELICIOUS! We even placed an order for the Lemon Cream Cake, it was big enough for all three of us to share -- YUMMY (our total bill was approx $70). If we are ever in the area again while on travel, we will certainly return to this Famous Dave's BBQ!
Definitely not quick. Waited over an hour for food. Also the seats are very uncomfortable and back-pain-inducing. When we got the food, it was fantastic.
Spicy sausage tasted really good, but I've definitely had better Texas brisket.
We left!! did not even order for various reasons one being very under trained staff just to paint a picture of what I walked into was some very upset customers and the girl running the register was so lost she gave away multiple orders to the wrong customers people where very upset as they had paid for there food already the manager seemed to be having a good time smiling and smirking saying to the customer I could get you your order in an hour talk about damage control if this is really how they are treating there customers famous Dave's may be famously permanently closed very poor performance, fix management and train staff how to handle situations properly yikes!!! Plus they do not have items on there menu as the employee told me and my wife they didn't have what we asked for also fix your supply or find a different supplier plenty out there to include buy local especially if you are self proclaimed pitmasters with the 99cent trophies will return one year from now to re rate just to see if it does improve or closes.
So happy to have Famous Dave’s back in the area. Service was great, everyone was friendly, the rib tips were a little salty but still delicious. Hope this place stays for a long time.
Absolutely terrible experience, waited for an hour to get my order the pulled pork sandwich tasted like nothing but fish and my burger was extremely overcooked with the bun burned to a crisp
Wow. Just wow. The food was crazy good. Ribs, brisket, even the chicken. The price is a bit high at first but then you see the portions are HUGE. 10/10 definitely recommend this place.

I went to Famous Daves in Smyrna this afternoon for rib tips ( center cut ). I placed my to go order as usual and the young lady that took my order "got it" down to the science!! As I was going back to wait in my car, I asked her to make sure that my rib tips were cooked and "no pink" because it would make me sick to see them like that. I got in my car and was about to play a game when the best "Customer Experience" I have had in years happened. Maria, the cook/kitchen mgr came to my car and explained, how she prepares the rib tips and the pride she put into them. She further gave me info on "all you eat rib tip day" and other information. I was so appreciative of her "customer focus", passion, and concern for me as I customer til it touched me to renew my confidence in not only this Famous Daves, but to know that someone in the most important area of a restaurant, truly cares!!!!!! Thank you so much Maria!!!

Passing through Smyrna Tenn, I noticed the Big Dave’s sign and pulled in. The lack of cars in the parking lot during Saturday lunch should have been a give a way. Staff was not t inviting or welcome BG. Not busy at all but the meat came out warm at best. Lots of restaurants along this highway exit. Staffing woes for owners I’m sure
Ribs all cartilage, sides cold, broccoli put right on tray. Will never returnRESPONSE TO OWNERS COMMENT and other comments. Everyone can find me on the internet, will let you know if someone from FD reaches out. I'm not a KAREN type person, I don't feel it's my job to tell people how to succeed at theirs (unless they engage my services). Unless it's a property owned by a friend, or someone that really want to succeed, it's my opinion that I visit, pay, experience, and then comment. There's too many food choices to have to give someplace several tries to get it right. I have eaten in many other FD's from here to Tennessee. All whom I would have 5 stars to. If the expeditor allowed our two tray to go out, then he/she wasn't doing anything close to their job, or what I'm guessing FD expects of staff. And the tables on either side of us were expressing the same regret in their meals that night. The photos on google are not what we got on our trays. Not even close. Who puts broccoli down on paper? The mac and cheese was not even up to Kraft Standard and the cheese was cold and grainy. And we waiting more than twice as long at this "QUICK" place than we have at other FD's. And no they were not busy. So message to owner/mgr. Find me, refund the 60$ 2 of us spent for a bad experience. We'll try it again, and if it's better I'll sure report it! But if the same or worse...well... Check my reviews, mostly 5 stars some 4 stars only a couple of busts. I have been near the food service business for decades. I stand by my original words so far.
Smaller portions for the price. Forgot part of our order and we had to wait for that. Wasn't even busy.
