My family and I went to Fuji today. Everyone else’s food was great, however, my husbands food was still frozen and looked/tasted way off. He ordered the shashimi plate (14 pieces) and the white tuna looked and tasted like it had gone bad and a sour taste. The regular tuna was frozen. He had 4 pieces out of the plate. We had informed the server about the issues- he tried to get it fixed twice but the manager came over and ignored the fact that we told the server it tasted off. She only said that all the fish had to be kept frozen then walked away before we could say anything. We weren’t really looking for the whole thing to be taken off considering he did eat a few bites but at least let us explain what the issue is so it doesn’t continue to happen.

Fuji always been good, I love the staff and never had a bad experience here. Highly recommend the heart attack roll if you like a nice middle ground spicy roll

I visited Fuji last week in the afternoon specifically for their Hibachi Lunch and placed my order accordingly. While the food itself was decent, the real shock came when the bill arrived—they charged me nearly double the listed lunch price. When I questioned it, their explanation was even more absurd: they don’t serve Hibachi Lunch on weekdays, and apparently, that’s written somewhere in the menu book. Seriously—who reads the entire menu cover to cover at a restaurant?

Without informing me, they served the Hibachi Dinner instead—without my consent—and expected me to just accept the inflated price.

This is completely unacceptable. I was misled, overcharged, and then treated with utter disrespect. The staff was rude, dismissive, and flatly refused any kind of compensation or even a simple apology.

The whole experience felt more like a scam than a meal. It’s incredibly disappointing—especially from a place that should uphold the values of Japanese hospitality. I walked in expecting good food and service; I left feeling cheated, frustrated, and insulted. I will never return, and I strongly advise others to be cautious. This place has completely shattered my perception of Japanese dining.

The most disappointing part of our visit was the staff’s rude and unprofessional attitude. When we asked about our bill, both the waiter and the manager responded dismissively and showed no respect or courtesy. Instead of calmly addressing our concerns, they were impatient and condescending, making us feel unwelcome. The manager, especially, was unhelpful and refused to listen. There was no apology or effort to resolve the situation, only rude behavior. Such poor customer service ruined our experience, and I wouldn’t recommend this place because of how they treat their guests.

We visited this restaurant on a Sunday for lunch and ordered from the Hibachi Lunch Combination menu, which was clearly listed at $15.95. However, we were charged $24.95 per meal without any prior notice. Only after questioning the bill were we told that the lunch pricing is only valid Monday through Friday something that wasn’t mentioned by the waiter. There were no visible signs or verbal communication about the weekend pricing. When we raised our concern, both the waiter and the manager were extremely rude and dismissive. They showed no courtesy, refused to take responsibility, and insisted we pay the full amount. The experience felt misleading and unprofessional. Due to the lack of transparency and poor customer service, we will not be returning and do not recommend this restaurant.

I was suprised that the food here is still good. It's about time I made a review about this place. The food was still the same when I came to this place as a teenager: delicious!

Will admit, it is expensive when going out with family, but its worth the price on how they are serving you. I hope to come by to this place again soon.

I eat at sushi restaurants all around the country, and I used to bartend at a high end sushi restaurant in Texas for years before I went on the road. This has got to be the worst experience I've ever had. I'll spare you the details but if you're in Grand Forks try Kaizen or Sakura. This place is terrible. That lady who seemed to be running the show needs a serious attitude adjustment. Disgusting food, environment and cleanliness.

Fuji used to be a very good place to get food from but now when using food delivery apps the food is extremely bland and nothing is flavorful like it used to be. I’m almost convinced they have people who don’t know how to cook because the quality has gone down so much. I cannot say if this is the same when eating in person or at the hibachi and I will write a separate review about that experience when I get the chance to experience it. Overall, i am extremely disappointed nowadays with Fuji when getting it for takeout or delivery.

It's your typical Fuji but the staff are extremely friendly. Food is always satisfying.

Food was fresh cooked right in front of you. Lunch special was not to bad priced. Overall great way to get a group of people together for a fun lunch time. I wish I would have taken pictures of the rolls but it was so good that we totally forgot to take a snap.
