Ground Round Grill & Bar-Grand Forks, ND

Took 2 items home and tossed them in the garbage: Cranberry pecan salad inedible (old-looking lettuce, hard lumps of chicken, bitter salad dressing), child’s pizza (leathery). Jambolya (“edible but subpar”).
Two chicken Alfredo’s and a hamburger platter were good but not worth anywhere near the cost of 159.00$.

The general manager has a bad attitude problem I’ll never go here again!!

Cool to find one of the last GR! Clean and good service. I had tortilla soup that I’d rate 1/10, but I’ve never had that soup before. It had a velveta gloppy feel and pushed it away after a couple bites. I stayed away from meat or vegetables. Never been worried about food borne illness before, but there didn’t look like a lot of traffic or turnover on the salad front, so I went with the soup and a baked potato. Somehow the potato tasted stale. I got throat sores after, which usually happens when I eat highly processed or foods with rancid soy oil.
It’s been a few hours and I now have raging heartburn and our hotel does NOT carry tums. So, basically I got ruptured throat lesions and heartburn, but it was clean and the service was good. If you like processed foods and aren’t too picky or have food sensitivities then check it out.

had the worse so called buy one get one free burgers I can see why one is free not sure but think we got the child menu burgers definitely was not close to pics you see online

Great casual atmosphere with terrific specials. Check ahead- Tuesday 2 for one burgers with pint beer specials make for a great meal. Staff had always been pleasant. I prefer late afternoon and enjoy the popcorn as well.

We attempted to go to ground round today just after 3pm. Walked in and seen the sign to seat yourself. So we sat down. Waited and waited… no one came around. Not a soul in there, no other guests… after a while with no one approaching us we got up and went to the other side. No one there… was dirty dishes on one table and I could hear someone trying to hook up a keg or something behind the bar. No one stood up to greet us, no one came out… we sat a bit and then ended up getting up and leaving. Horrible service… noticed the popcorn they had was almost empty and looked like yesterday’s left overs too. Oh so disappointing, ended up going across the street with excellent service as usual. Really hope this was a one off

We did the buy 1, get 1 free burgers which is a great deal. They were good but we weren't impressed with our server. He hardly paid attention to us and we had to flag him down for popcorn and drinks. It was the perfect night to sit outside with almost no wind or bugs and good shade. We'll go back for sure, with hopefully better service.

Food was very average, I had soup of the day and Ceasar salad, both were under whelming. Restaurant was empty at 5:30pm. Texas Steakhouse was packed down the road for a good reason. On a positive note, the service was great!
