Now this place is called “Hot Town”?? Different name but same address and phone number... 701-739-4800? What’s the deal here? My wife and I walked into an empty restaurant. One person stopped in for a pick-up order, but other than that, nobody else came in while we were here. We thought we were walking into “Thai Hot,” that’s what the sign outside still says, but the receipt we were given said, “Hottown” at the top. Yes, spelled just like that... “Hottown.” Simply, there is no reason for us to ever return to this place (Thai Hot or Hot Town). Where to begin... we were served bottled water from Hugo’s for $2.50 each. We only ordered fried rice, it was a measly serving served on a plastic plate. We were given small plastic plates and flimsy little plastic forks as well. Fried rice was $16. Craziness! Paint was chipped and falling off the walls. Murals of Italy are still up on the wall when this location used to be a really good Italian restaurant years ago. Random pictures/paintings were also up that had nothing to do with Thailand or Asia. One painting they have is a Native American in traditional clothes holding a rifle above his head. Another painting was of an older style American car, 30’s/40’s, with 7 children sitting on the running board. There are paintings above the entry way of mountain scenes, trees, snow, streams... Didn’t make any sense. Their website online, it mentions that “Hot Town” prides “ourselves on serving our customers delicious genuine dishes like: Thai, Sushi” ....Really?? They don’t even have any type of sushi on their menu. Something is really strange about this place. What the heck happened to this business?? I have been here two times previously and have given food and service here 5 stars. Today, no way! We will never step foot inside this place ever again. So sad. If you enjoy over priced food and using plastic dishes and plastic forks, and drinking bottled water from Hugo’s, and subpar service... this is your place.

My expectations were too high based on a glowing recommendation from a local. I thought the food was OK but nothing special. I wouldn't rush back.

literally THE BEST fried rice around.

I love this place! Went there last night and got the pad Thai. It was very good! I got the mild and it still had spice to it, but it was perfect. We also had the fried calamari as an app and it was good. The only thing I would change is that their sweet and sour sauce was more runny than I like it.

While visiting GF, my spouse & I ordered online: pad thai & drunken noodles online. Picked up to eat at hotel. One bite was beyond painful and overly hot - it actually burned our mouths. Threw it away & tried to follow up multiple times. Manager would not speak to us, which is inexcusable. DO NOT eat at Thai Hot! I've had Thai food in dozens of restaurants in multiple states & countries. There is NO EXCUSE for serving such inedible food and providing no customer service.

I paid almost $40 for Thai hot fried rice and drunken noodles. The flavor was there but the portion was ridiculous! Paid dinner prices and got a snack sized portion. The spring rolls aren't even house made, they taste like the freezer section at Walmart. No thanks, wasted money. Needless to say, we won't be going back. Grand forks has a sad selection for Asian food. You're better off learning how to make your own Asian favorites at home.

Decided to give this place a second go. Ordered Red Curry and Green Curry with tofu… where was the curry and why the pidhli amount of rice? Had to order a side of rice as my husband was hungry (fit and trim) The curry itself lacked depth in flavor and really was meh. This place needs to sort their portions out. Hot Thai in Minot is great and WAY different… Also not stingy at the Minot location.

Really great food and the staff is friendly. As other reviewers stated the prices are high and the portions are small - but you pay for quality. Appetizers were delightful. The hot sauce is amazing. The sushi is really good too!

Been to a lot of Thai places around the country. This one is at the top of my list for the best Thai food I have ever had. Pad Thai is amazing. Chicken Satay is amazing. Glad we tried this place out. Will be coming back for sure.

This place is pretty small and the red door is very cute. I only good thing there was the thai hot wing and the grapao gai. The meat on the drunken noodle was old and it taste disgusting. The seafood was disgusting as well, some of the seafood was old and did not taste good. The sushi rolls were good and delicious, also the thai tea drink was good. Overall, the service took forever, we didnt get to any food we requested because there was only one waitress. Next time maybe have fresh beef for your dish.

Yikes. So disappointing. I've had Thai food on three continents. I'm not a snob about it - I just expect freshness and some semblance of quality. We had the Pad Thai, Masaman curry, House Ramen, chicken satay and fried wontons. The wontons were edible. That's the best I can say.

First time here and we will certainly be back! Our entrees came out so fresh and steaming hot. Our sushi rolls were good too! Food had lots of flavor and that hot sauce is to die for! I can’t explain the flavor well but it complimented the food well and had nice kick! It is nice to be able to alter the level of spicy when you order because I love hot and my husband doesn’t. Service was top notch and place was very clean! Thanks for the great food! See you again soon!
