I visited Sakura here in Grand Forks is absolutely amazing. I had sushi for the first time. Wonderful atmosphere and the team members there are outstanding, our waiter Noah did an excellent job. If I could give more stars for him I would. Definitely a place to visit.

It's a fantastic restaurant, probably the best place in town to eat at. I have never had a bad experience and the staff is wonderful. All of their food is delicious, but I particularly enjoy their fried rice and teriyaki chicken. Best of all, their prices are very affordable, a basic fried rice entree with tip comes out to less than $20, cheaper than some fast food places! It's my go-to for dining out

Wonderful Japanese restaurant with a great atmosphere and decor.
We had a party of 12 for the lunch hibachi. A.J. was a great cook and provided some fun party tricks for lots of laughs. Food portions were more than adequate and the drinks were tasty. I would do this again!
The steakhouse had a cool atmosphere, and the service was satisfactory, although it felt a bit minimal—food was dropped off, and that was about it. The hibachi was enjoyable, although the portion sizes of meat felt somewhat small for the price. On the plus side, the sushi appeared fresh, and the soups were packed with flavor. If you’re looking for sushi or hibachi, this is definitely the place to go. However, they have unusual hours and close at 8:30 PM on Sundays, which might be a northern trend.
There was a girl on the front desk whom I requested for a cup of water while waiting for a take out. She gave me water but said never do that again. The restaurant who can't afford a cup of water to their guest while waiting for food to pick up should be avoided at any cost.
Just finished a delicious meal here, and it was a 5/5. We’ve had high end sushi in Los Angeles and this is definitely up there in quality and service. The lobby is very pretty and impeccably clean. It’s also pretty laid back and quiet. Compared to our recent poor Fargo sushi experience, this one knocked it out of the park. Our whole meal only took an hour and our food was ready within 20 mins, cocktails, appetizers, boba teas and all. The taro tea tastes authentic and wasn’t overly sweet which I appreciate, because so many other “taro” flavors I’ve had are really artificially floral and kinda gross.
Johnny was a super awesome server and very polite and fast. He also made us laugh taking our IDs and had a great sense of humor. The bartender also made delicious drinks - we had the tokyo tea and pomegranate flirtini - both stellar.
The food was beautifully presented and super tasty. The shaggy dog roll is both ours and our kids’ favorites, but all were amazing. Our whole meal with 7-8 rolls, a side of vegetables and teriyaki chicken entree + 3 cocktails and 2 boba teas were 170$, and staff definitely earned their 25% tip.
We don’t go out often because we intend to splurge on the art and skill it takes to make a meal like this extraordinary, but we’ll definitely be back and budgeting for another great experience. I’ve also sampled their to-go service for a few rolls, and that came out right on time and was just as good in quality. If you’re celiac/gluten free, you can’t be guaranteed to have no cross contamination when dining out, but staff here really tries and will label/separate your soy sauces and do their best to accommodate an allergy restriction.
Thank you so much to counter/serving staff, sushi chefs and hibachi chefs that prepared our meal!

Went there for my wife's birthday / Valentine's Day. Great food, great service all around great experience.
I don't usually write reviews, but ever since moving away from my favorite sushi restaurant, I've been trying to find another restaurant that even comes close by comparison.
I've now had every sushi restaurant in fargo and grand forks, and this one is easily the best. The salmon and yellowtail nigiri(raw fish on rice) was out of this world. They have good rice quality and melt in your mouth fish. Their Wasabi isn't too overpowering, and their presentation is beautiful! I haven't tried a ton of their rolls but I'm sure they're fantastic as well.
I did try a lot of their appetizers and they're all so good. Our waiter was also fantastic and super sweet and attentive, and the atmosphere was nice.
I can't wait to visit again!
My fiance and I just moved here and were recommended this restaurant. We came and ordered the pork and chicken buns, king crab roll, ichiban roll, hibachi plate and a pomegranate martini. The flavors in everything was very good. Specifically the sauces in the buns were very flavorful. Highly recommend 😊
Best Japanese food in town. Great for first date!!
i love this spicy salmon bowl, perfect amount of rice seasoning, everything tasted so fresh. 10/10
