A nice little coffee shop with some baked goods. Friendly staff and great seating areas. This is a non-profit company.

A wonderful place to meet with friends or to get some work done. Excellent coffee and a great selection of non coffee beverages. There is something about this place that's peaceful. I highly recommend!

We were driving through Grand Forks and wanted to get some coffee. After reading the review we wanted to try out this coffee place hoping our experience will also be great as most people have described. Unfortunately, we did not have a very good experience. Since it was my first time, i asked what was the most popular coffee on the menu. The girl who was taking our order looked at me like thats the strangest question to be asking and i should already know the answer. The guy standing behind her stepped infront and explained which was the famous one and i ordered that. It took ~20 mins for me to get my Latte (small). I had requested and paid EXTRA for the whipped cream. There were 4 guys standing behind the counter talking and one guy trying to make all the orders while the girl was taking the orders at the register. After waiting patiently i asked how much longer will i have to wait for my coffee, she rolled her eyes and said “you wanted whipped cream and we are trying to make the whipped cream which is why it’s taking time more time!” I said ok and waited. I had specifically asked to make my latte hotter than usual, but when i received it, it was colder than normal. And I asked why it wasnt even like normal hot coffee and the girl again in a very annoyed way answered because my latte had to sit and wait for them to make the whip cream because i wanted whipped cream. And walked away.
I thought that was very rude and poor customer service. I don’t think i would want to go back there again because i am paying for my coffee, i am not asking for free for me to be given such an attitude. It was a disappointing experience.

Coffee was good. They have a few sugar free flavors, which is better than most places that only have sugar free vanilla.

Inviting and calm interior with a kids area upstairs. I love that the staff and their recommendations are highlighted next to the counter. They have daily specials and seasonal drinks. We ordered kids hot chocolate, the aviator, and the Hannah (so delicious!). Can be served in an actual mug for that warm and cozy feel or in to-go cup if you are just passing through. Don't forget your punch card!
Kid-friendliness: There are games and a fun kid room upstairs.

Service was occupied with other server. Overfill cup which spilt twice on way to table. 1st told my drink was the wrong one and they'd be making a new one. That was fine. Then returned to tell me, nope it was correct. At that point I wasn't sure what I was drinking. A bin full of dirty dishes sat while the 2 staff chit chatted behind the counter oblivious to anything. I has to pass it on the way to the bathroom. No cleaning of tables etc. No farewell thanking us for stopping or hoping to come back....poor. disappointed in the lack of food choices. A bismark or s vegan muffin.

This used to be one of my favorite places to get good coffee, meet people, and study. I love the setup and vibe. However, the last several times I've come here there has been loud, college-aged kids running around/yelling. On top of that, the baristas are doing each other's hair behind the bar (which I thought was a health violation). Overall they have great coffee, but the environment is extremely distracting and the service could use some care.

Definitely the best coffee shop in the whole region, at least until you get to Fargo and maybe including Fargo, too. They get beans fresh from Backstory in St. Paul, which is fantastic. Their brews are actually stunning. The atmosphere is pristine. Very friendly service. If you only go to one coffee shop in Grand Forks, make this the one.
