This used to be one of my favorite places to get good coffee, meet people, and study. I love the setup and vibe. However, the last several times I've come here there has been loud, college-aged kids running around/yelling. On top of that, the baristas are doing each other's hair behind the bar (which I thought was a health violation). Overall they have great coffee, but the environment is extremely distracting and the service could use some care.

Definitely the best coffee shop in the whole region, at least until you get to Fargo and maybe including Fargo, too. They get beans fresh from Backstory in St. Paul, which is fantastic. Their brews are actually stunning. The atmosphere is pristine. Very friendly service. If you only go to one coffee shop in Grand Forks, make this the one.

This is the only place in Grand Forks you can get an actual proper Cappuccino with high quality espresso. My kids and I loved the ham and cheese croissants too, super flaky!

All-around my favorite study spot, coffee, and place to chill in Grand Forks! The space is modern and aesthetic while still feeling cozy and inviting. As a student, I love the variety of seating where I can plug in my computer and sip on my coffee for a few hours, from the window seating to the tables where I can spread out and the comfy couches. The coffee is well-sourced and delicious, there are plenty of non-coffee options and they offer dairy-free milk for those of us who are lactose intolerant! I've tried several of the baked goods served here and appreciate they are all delicious and made locally - the gluten free Pistachio Rose muffin is a personal favorite! Definitely come check it out for yourself!Kid-friendliness: There are several coffee free drink options that are kid-friendly. (The hot chocolate is a personal favorite) There is also a play room upstairs with all new toys!Wheelchair accessibility: The bathrooms are wheelchair accessible and there is some seating available on the ground floor, but there is not a ramp for wheelchairs to go to the second floor or kids area.

A nice open concept with an upstairs for those that want to read, gather or work. It is very clean and comfortable, a place I would recommend if you work remotely as there is plenty of room.Kid-friendliness: There is a small children’s room upstairs with large window to watch children. It is a room so it can keep sound to a minimum in other areas.

It was fantastic to see The Ember all decked out in Christmas Cheer for the Downtown Grand Forks HollyDazzle event this evening! The Christmas tree! Hot chocolate! Festive photo booth! Happy people! Carolers! We love it when this place is open!

Really enjoy the Ember for their: consistently satisfying espresso and chai drinks, welcoming baristas (whom I believe are largely volunteer; a credit to training), ample seating, discounted "Oh for Heaven's Cakes" muffins, fresh waffles, and fellowship.

Cozy, cute, quiet, clean. Homemade soups and sandwiches are delish!
