What a great experience. After an hour of googling restaurants we have never been to in Saratoga, we decided on The Brook Tavern. I've lived in Saratoga my whole life and somehow never knew it was here. Our server, Chris was great, very friendly, quick, and had an extensive knowledge of the menu. The food was outstanding. Our waitress did an exceptional job of meeting our needs, and with two young and hungry girls, that wasn’t an easy task. She had the chef make a mini veggie tray for the girls to munch on, and they also went off the kids’ menu to make a pasta and butter dish for my youngest. Our adult menu items were exceptional as well. My pear martini was perfect, the calamari appetizer was delicious and this evening’s halibut special was fresh and pan seared to a perfect crisp. Not enough staff on for drinking, eating and gamingIf gaming it is difficult to cash in tickets because bartender is too busy taking food orders, delivering food, making drinks. If you are going to have gaming then an extra person is needed. Two staff in kitchen. Maybe one when not busy back there, could train behind bar when needed.
