After some exploration around the Sheyenne National Grassland, we stopped in for a beer and a burger and were well served. The Ringneck has had some less savory days in the past; with a small-town bar, management makes all the didfference. With the current management and operation, we recommend the place for its hearty and generous fare. First, beers (a limited tap selection) are served in huge, icy mugs. Although quiet during our visit, one could visualize this as a lively place later in the day or on weekends. Also easily populated by bikers looking for a stop to grab a cold brew. At a table seated next to us were 4 business folks conducting a meeting over lunch. Menu offered usual fare of burgers, chicken strips and salads. Waitress very attentive with both drinks and food. Had that small town atmosphere. Food was acceptable, nothing fancy but met our needs.
Food was great, the woman running the bar is friendly and hospitable. Place is bigger on the inside than it looks from the front. Been in at lunchtime a couple times and while there's not a lot of dine-in customers, take out seems to be pretty popular. And we always love a place we don't have to fight over the pool table.
