First time being in North Dakota. My boyfriend & I went to Bismarck to go eat and look around. I looked up places to eat. The Paddle Trap caught my eye. We got there immediately, greeted by Kayla, who turned out to be our server. She was so sweet and complimented my sweatshirt with Michael Myers, and Jason on it. Had to return the favor because her fit was soooo cute! I had a few questions for her and she gladly answered. She let me try some of their Trap Calm chowder and I loved it! I do recommend the calm chowder as well as Spicy Fried Chicken Sandwich! If I am ever lucky enough to make it back to North Dakota, I’ll have to stop by for more amazing food!

If you have ever wanted to meet someone meaner than the grinch, please visit the paddle trap in Mandan. Ruined our family Christmas dinner that I flew all the way from Colorado for. Was excited to treat my family and eat in an igloo outside, buts were rudely told we could not due to our party size of 7. We called to make the reservation weeks ago and were told 7 people were allowed to order the full menu while in the igloo but once we arrive this was not the case. Only drinks and apps because of the 1 additional person. 6 people can order full the menu but 7 is a no go. Their heart is full of spiders! Skip this place.

Absolutely the worst experience dining I’ve ever had and ruined our Christmas dinner. Called and payed a deposit to sit in an igloo WEEKS ago noting we had 7 guests and the reservation was accepted. Once we arrived we were rudely told that we cannot sit 7 in an igloo after we had already paid. They said we could order drinks and appetizers in the igloo with 7 people but would not be allowed to order Entrees? Reason we were told is because: People ordering Entrees is a safety concern but appetizers and alcohol are not. Amazing rule! Don’t bother, with this place.

Food wasn’t great, Ordered hordeveous but they were forgotten and given to us after our meals were done. Was not very busy but took a long time to finally get our check. I noticed food on Facebook awhile go. They were not listed anywhere in store but people were ordering them. Just was not a great experience.

Love The Paddle Trap! Food is delicious, drinks are iced cold and such a fun place in the summer and winter. The paddle trap just catered to my work and everyone thought it was amazing! The Mac n cheese was my favorite. ❤️

Ordered a 7-person delivery for Bowls-to-Go, called the day before because have never ordered this before. Natalie was so helpful getting things right, delivery right on time, and the food was hot and delicious! Highly recommend for a group luncheon!
