Service is beyond awful and I'm still trying to find out why this establishment smells like raw sewage. The free coffee couldn't even bring me back. Someone needs to contact the health department. Absolutely disgusting.

This was our first visit to Paula's, which was suggested by a local. It's an older place, but the food and service were great, and the staff friendly. We were surprised to see a salad bar open over the noon hour (unusual these days). If you want good food without all the "frills" at a fair price, then this is your place to go.

It was well worth the morning drive from Grand Forks to have breakfast here on Halloween morning, Sunday, the 31st of October. We walked into a cafe that took us back in time! The first thing we noticed were the round spinning stools at the counter with “Paula’s” written on each seat. The woodwork, the ceiling, pies in the glass display fridge, the diamond pattern stainless steel wall behind the counter, the handwritten ‘Guest Check’, the old tile floor, the individually wrapped caramel rolls, the grill and cook in eyes view, the vintage plates and coffee mugs... Perfect! My wife ordered the #10, a breakfast sandwich with a sausage patty. Great order! I ordered the All Meat Omelet with hash browns and wheat toast. My omelet was Excellent! There are so many reasons for us to drive back to Mayville and eat breakfast here again. Thank you very much! This was time well spent... “back in time.”
