This place is a 10/10! The parmesan truffle fries are SO good and the pork shank & bison osso bucco are both dynamite. Really everything I've eaten there is so good in my couple visits. Plus the servers are very friendly and prompt. Nice to go in the off season if possible since there's a much smaller crowd than the summer!

Food was a little over sauced for the prices. Staff were professional while being laid back and helpful. Western decor as expected in Medora.

We came for dinner and had the bison, which was to die for!!! So good we came back for breakfast the next day. My husband couldn’t get enough of the bison so he got the bison Benedict and loved it. I was hoping for a very basic/classic breakfast and ended up with the best pancakes I’ve ever had in my life. 10/10 would recommend!!

Best Bar and Drink ever.
We were traveling through and happened to go out to have a drink while staying in Medora ND.
Donnie, the bartender, is the most professional, crafty and fun bartender we've ever encountered. We have traveled all over the country and have been to many many bars but we had the most pleasant experience with Donnie.
He has made us Lemon Drop, Old fashioned, Apple Martini, Orange Cream Martini and all of them are incredible. It's really like a magic. He can make any drink and they are best of the best. They are not like a regular drink you order at other bars. They are really fresh and special.
He makes the bar a happy place for everyone. It's like all the strangers at the bar ended up became good friends. He has a way with drinks and people.
We came here two days in a row. We stayed there for a long time just because it was such a good time. Thank you, Donnie.
We will come back next time we get to the area 100%!

I’ve been visiting this part of the country for a few years and Bison Benedict is my favorite bison dish I have ever had, especially for a breakfast. 10/10 meal. Would definitely get this whether staying at hotel or not. Large Caramel bun was 8/10 so worth trying but there are better in the state that are prepared differently. Vibe was relaxed and exactly what you would expect if you chose to stay at the attached Rough Rider hotel
Forgot their names but the newer waiter and waitress from Romania were super friendly and helpful

Great atmosphere, professional service, and food was excellent.
The woodwork, fireplace, and furnishings was very nice. Unfortunately, heavy flatware, cloth napkins, and stoneware was rare for this trip to the Great Plains.

We stopped into Theodores for dinner on a Saturday evening at 7pm
The restaurant was pretty busy but we were seated relatively quick. Having glanced at the menu prior to getting there we knew what we wanted.
For starters we ordered the citrus glazed pork belly. It was good but not great. There was quite a few pieces that shouldn’t have been served as they were too fatty. Nevertheless it was a solid 3.5-4/5
They brought a delicious bread to the table which was a nice touch. The butter was infused with garlic.
We both ordered ribeyes for dinner that came with soup or salad. I got the beet salad but also ordered the lobster bisque. The beet salad was good but it was lacking. Too much vinegar and the beets didn’t look terribly freshly cooked. 3/5. The lobster bisque was very tasty although I don’t think I had any lobster in it, 4/5
The main course of char crusted ribeye was very good. Served with whipped mashed potatoes. My ribeye was perfectly cooked and served with a Demi glaze atop. The glaze was good but it was a little overpowering. If I were ordering again, I’d get on the side. Nevertheless, it was still a solid 8/10.
Service was exceptional, 5/5. Thanks Manuela
Overall I’d give it a solid 4/5 considering.

We have eaten here twice in the last week while hunting in Western North Dakota. Two of the best meals I've ever had and my wife agrees with me. She had the beat salad and walleye and I had the bison osso buco and the elk. Incredible bar tender with his self concocted specialty drinks. This place is a must if you are anywhere within a hundred miles and are a foodie! They don't take reservations for parties of less than six.

Pork belly was undercooked. Lobster bisque had no trace of lobster in it, ribeye had tangy sauce all over it. I would’ve asked for it on the side if I knew it was coming all over it. Honestly small portions for the price the steak was portion correctly, but also 50% fat.

We reserved a table for 16 people for breakfast at Theodore's dining room on Sunday morning. Everything was set up and ready when we arrived, our server was excellent and very attentive to all of our special requests. The food was delicious and served nice and hot considering we had such a huge group. Highly recommend using OpenTable and booking a room anytime for this dining room!!!
So cozy and a perfect way to start the morning before a hike or heading home! You can also eat there if you aren’t staying at the hotel ?

Lovely Place. The table was set beautifully and the room was elegant but also warm and cozy. They served as well even though there were 11 of us with a combination of adults and kids. The food was wonderful. Everybody loved it. We will definitely be going back.
Started off with the pork belly & the meatballs. The pork belly was alright, but the meatballs were amazing! I highly recommend them! They had a unique flavor! The meats were average they had a different taste. My favorite out of all of them was the tenderloin. The bison osso bucco was like a pot roast, wasn’t dry, just needed more flavor & could have been more moist. The T-bone had a sweet pine flavor, I didn’t care for it but it was unique.
