We went here for our first night in Minot and I would say it was a good choice! They were out of brisket, but no big deal. My son and I got pulled pork, my husband got pulled pork and sausage and we all shared our sides (fried okra, fries, green beans, and baked beans). The service was good, the food was good, and the staff were nice. I didn’t think anything was over seasoned, but I’m from the Midwest and we season everything, the more salt the better.

I got fried okra and it was so over seasoned. It was bad they were out of ribs so I had to choose something else. The pulled pork was fatty. There was hardly any meat to it. It didn't come with the toast like it said it was supposed to. My son's fries were overseasoned. I had to go back for meat that was missed in the three plate meat not worth the $56 I even asked for potato salad and I got mashed potatoes

The two women who were working that day were so friendly and efficient. Our sandwiches were substantial and the fried okra delicious. We feel the okra is the best around. However, we were disappointed the ice cream machine was gone.
There was one man working when we went in tonight & he was fantastic. Very friendly, great service, and was working very hard. The food was really good also. That man deserves a raise!

We visited at 11:00 on Sunday 12/31/2023 and we were the only customers at the time as well as during our entire visit. Things were dirty, labels on the condiment table were unreadable, and the only employee did not know how to use our gift card. Most of the food was good but not all of it was warm. This was disappointing because the restaurant closed a while back and we were told the original owners reopened it with a promise of "hands on" management and a promise to do better. There was NO evidence of anything improving, in fact I'd say it was worse than it had been before.

I went because the time before was great. Yesterday, Mac n cheese was served coldCorn muffin was all dried.out...like.over -microwaved or 2 days old typeof.dried.out. No ability to get a better one as she said they were all like thatI did tell the staff. She replaced the Mac n cheese but I was just not impressed. She said manager said to just.come back next time and tell them I had a bad meal and they would give me a discount. Really? She said they'd remember.....but I was so not impressed, I doubt if go back. I asked what kind of discount...at least 25% she said. I asked for a free drink to fill upy belly. The manager said ok. For 16.49, I could get an entree at a regular restaurant.

It’s okay depending on when you go in and who’s working. I’ve gone several times and the foods hit or miss. Meat is always lukewarm/slightly cold but the fries are usually fresh. It’s mid.

Great people working behind the counter. Super friendly. Hard-working and helpful.The brisket was great, and the highlight of the meal. Soft, flavorful, and seasoned well.My only complaint is they didn't have Texas Toast, so we got dinner rolls as a substitute.
