Kroll’s Diner – Minot, ND Location
I travel for work and eat at diners all over the country, and unfortunately this specific Kroll’s Diner location has consistently been one of the worst experiences I’ve had. The last two times I visited, the service was extremely slow even though the restaurant was nearly empty. It took over 5 minutes just to get drinks and another 5 minutes before anyone came to take our order.
I ordered a ham and cheese omelette, which came out runny. I asked for my hash browns to be cooked crispy, and they were served more like mashed potatoes. The pancakes were noticeably smaller than what I’ve had at other Kroll’s locations and were dry and burnt. Overall, the quality of the food and service was terrible both times.
What makes this more disappointing is that I love the Kroll’s locations in Bismarck and Fargo—they’re consistently great. But the Minot location is a completely different experience. The staff could even be heard behind the counter constantly complaining, which didn’t help the atmosphere.
There’s clearly an issue with management here. There’s a reason this place is usually dead when we go. After giving it multiple chances, I won’t be returning to this location

Walleye special was excellent and priced great at $17.99. Service was homey and just what you’d expect and want from a diner
This is my favorite greasy spoon and breakfast in town. Comfort food, fun atmosphere, and most of our servers have been great too. Portion sizes are more than sufficient for adults and leave me full with leftovers. I enjoy the Big Bopper Omelette with sourdough toast. My kids love the pancakes.

I'm traveling for work. I try a variety of restaurants while on the road. This is a gem of a place in Minot. I had the Knoephla soup, cabbage rolls entree, and a cappuccino-oreo shake--all delicious. The cabbage rolls reminded me of the ones my grandmother used to make, the mashed potatoes were homemade, and the dinner roll was delicious! The soup was amazing--I had never had it before, but will order it again in the future if I see it in another restaurant. The shake was a bit thick, but was sweet and delicious!
Miranda was our server and she was amazing! She is very positive and a sweet person.
The diner was decorated for Halloween and looked so cute and festive!
I absolutely recommend this place for everyone. Good food, good people, and good atmosphere.

The food was GREAT, service was GREAT. A pattymelt with fries and a small order of onion rings should not be $28. I could go to a steakhouse for that kind of money. Love the food and the staff, but too pricey.

Came bu for breakfast and it wasn't that appetizing. Service seemed rushed and food was mediocre. Fly everywhere in the dinning area. Wouldn't recommend.

Have been going there for years and loved their cabbage rolls. They must of changed the recipe because they tasted terrible. Wasn't just me but the other family members said the same thing. We definitely will NOT be going back.
