The decor was nice, the staff was friendly with quick service. BUT, its disgraceful to call that food Mexican. Im a white boy from Georgia and even that was the most boring, bland, seasonless food ive ever had. ITS MEXICAN FOOD FOR CRYING OUT LOUD! ITS SUPPOSED TO HAVE SEASONING, SPICE, AND A LITTLE KICK! Im just baffled that the restaurant actually says authentic mexican food. That has to be the most extreme false advertising ive ever witnessed. Im mean cmon, stop using canned food and put some dang seasoning on it. If all Northern is that bland then im going hungry i guess.

Last night (Sunday evening) my husband and I had dinner here. I had Mon’s Special and my husband had a Chimichanga. It was really disappointing. The beans were barely warm. Perhaps because they drizzled some melted cheese sauce over the beans. The rice could only be described as cold, for both our plates. The chicken was not hot but it was ok. The chimichanga’s beef had little flavor. The server checked on us and we told home the temp issues. He offered to go warm the plates up but as the chicken on my plate would have turned to rubber and my husband’s salad would have deteriorated, we declined. I wish he had just offered to bring us a new order of hot beans and rice. We have been considering trying out El Rapero and we will next time we are ready for a Mexican meal.

After eating at another Mexican restaurant today I honestly found myself wishing Mi Mexico were open earlier so I could have eaten from here instead! Coming from Texas, it is difficult to impress me as far as Mexican food is concerned but Mi Mexico is flavorful, consistent, and friendly! I am vegetarian so options are quite limited for me in Minot, but this place has a plethora of yummy vegetarian options, not just some beans and cheese messily slapped into a tortilla (like most Mexican restaurants here). Not to mention, the staff is so enthusiastic, friendly, and involved every single time I stop here. The owner is at the door to warmly greet guests most of the time, which is truly beautiful in this age of fast food and soulless transactions. Thank you, Mi Mexico, for the heartwarming food & customer service💓

i mean where to start….. like 300 items in the menu that should be a red flag for anyone entering this locale , beans and rice on the shrimp????? no mamen, carne asada (grilled) hahahaha really ppl are so stupid by eating here, it’s like me going to an american restaurant and they serve me a hamburger in a tortilla right!?!? i will notice tha mt something it’s not right lol 😆 but that’s me…
