The Pheasant used to be such a great place. Last night was a serious disappointment. First off we had to wait for the waitress to even acknowledge we were there while she sat at the counter. Then they were out of items to make a salad, even though they were putting lettuce, tomato and onion in the burgers and had salad the night before on the buffet. As we sat everyone around us, who came after us, got their food. When we asked about it, they lost our ticket. Then still made other orders before ours. They made one order at a time. When I did complain I was told they would discount our order 50 percent but since my uncle paid, they charged full price. The quality and service has seriously gone downhill since the present owners took over. I was a long time resident of Mott and worked for Red in high school. When Norm owned it, he ran it pretty close to how Red did. They place is dirty and the cooking staff on this night really didn't know how to cook. So disappointing.

Food was dinner style, but good. I really loved the sour cream fries. Willie burger was pretty good as well. My wife had the Guard burger, she just said she wished a different kind of sausage was used overall I would say our experience was very positive. I would recommend this restaurant and I hope to go back soon!

Good basic food, served quickly. My grandsons (special needs) wanted a cheeseburger for breakfast. Not on morning menu. They volunteered to cook it special for him!!!??❣️?
Kid-friendliness: See Above. I will return soon.

Horrible. Worse than Horrible. I ordered 1/2 chicken. I assumed that meant 1/2 a fried chicken. I was given a TINY shriveled up skinless chicken breast (1) and a GREEN baked potato without butter or sour cream. The waitress was also coughing the entire time. Worst restaurant experience in a long, LONG time. Almost comically bad.

Seems like they care about the food they make. Keep the fry oil fresh. Toasted bread for sandwiches. Even soft serve ice cream. Really a pleasant surprise for a very small town.

The Pheasant was a great place to stop during my road trip. They welcomed my dog, and provided great service.
Love coming to the Pheasant Cafe whenever I am in the area.
