North Fairfield Cafe

This is a small cafe very popular with locals. Food is pretty genuinely home-cooked. Specials of the day are generally posted on Facebook. Home- baked pastries and desserts are available if you’re quick enough. (Buy them before your meal, if they’re available!) They take pride in having Ukrainian dishes. The staff are very pleasant.

AKA 4 Corners Cafe. This looks like a little cafe in the middle of nowhere. Do stop in! Family-run business, with ties to the local Ukrainian community. Good portions of comfort food. Wednesday was pierogies day, which are made by one of the staff's mothers. Excellent! Good, quick service and fantastic homemade pastries. They were out of pie when we stopped, so had flaky, melt-in-your-mouth turnovers. Great prices, too.

This is about the only place to eat near the north unit of TRNP. But what a gem! From the moment we walked in the door you felt like you were at home. It's not fancy, just roadside diner atmosphere. We were there on a Wed. and the special that day was pierogies. We did not have their special, but the food we got was very tasty.
