Plaze Cafe has closed permanently. It has been sold so a furniture showroom can be built. I will miss their marinated grilled chicken salad with bacon and Alex's Greek dressing and a little ranch. Also his wife's chicken soup is delicous. I may miss that most of all.

Excellent prepared food. Quick service. Prices are low. A well kept secret. No disappointment here

The absolute BEST Greek omelet!! Going back this week! It's a no frills diner, but I've never had a bad meal there. Quality food and service!

I have never dined here in the 33 years it's been in business despite being a local. The owners are very kind and welcoming. The food is delicious and a good price. The omelet's my son and I had were large and packed with feta cheese, which we were thrilled about! Regulars of all nationalities trickled in as we ate, clearly feeling at home here. I witnessed the owners helping to move one of their regulars to his usual spot once the other party had left and it was cleared off! I definitely recommend this home town location! Very small parking lot. IMPORTANT: ONLY CASH ACCEPTED

We stopped in the other day and the food and service were great! I got the egg and pork tenderloin breakfast and it was truly delicious. We even met the owners when we were in and they were so kind and welcoming - we will definitely be back! Also the grits were fantastic

I was in High Point for the furniture market and was looking forward to breakfast here because it had 4 1/2 stars on Yelp. It was literally the worst breakfast I think I've ever had in my life. If I had a worse one, I don't remember it. With my breakfast companion I ordered eggs over medium, wheat toast, hashbrowns, grits, bacon and coffee. The eggs were over easy and extremely runny - slightly above raw. The pancakes were literally the worst i've ever had in my life. Inedible. The bacon was 90% fat. The toast was bad, which actually surprised me. The grits were literally the worst I've ever had, and inedible. The hashbrowns were bad, but I ate them to avoid starvation. The coffee was easily the worst coffee I've ever had. Watery and bitter. Cream and sugar was of no use. The workers were nice-ish, so they get 3 stars. The ambience is a 1. The food is about a -3. So overall, a generous 1. It would be the perfect place for a restaurant makeover show, where a team transforms the whole place. It could actually look decent inside and outside (but does not). And with proper food, and a more friendly staff, it could be a cool place.

We enjoy eating at this café and is very friendly atmosphere. The staff is like family and the food is excellent. We will continue to go as long as we can and enjoy our breakfasts most every morning with the plaza café family.

Went for a late breakfast on such a beautiful morning. I love this small iconic venue. Healthy portions for such modest prices. For those who don't know, CASH ONLY...but an ATM is by the counter.Breakfast is served all day. A very large venue which will make it even harder to make up your mind----so you must go again.Really enjoyed the welcome we received. It makes it easy to frequent this family-run establishment. The owner has always stopped by to make sure we enjoyed our meal...a real personal touch.

This spot was fairly busy when I went to visit, which is encouraging because it definitely seems a little more like an old-school restaurant. I'd wager it's mostly family-run, and the owner certainly made a point of going around to check on everyone, chatting with locals and, presumably, some familiar faces. Stewed apples are not a breakfast option where I live, so that was novel. I had to try them! Turned out they're delicious cooked apples, much like you might find in apple pie... questionably breakfast food, but you won't find me complaining. The omelette I had was also pretty good. Lots of feta cheese, lots of spinach. I like mine a little more well done, but it was still tasty. The prices are reasonable and the service is prompt. Bear in mind it's cash only, although they have an ATM inside for those of us who forgot to bring cash.

Just tried this place for the first time even though I grew up in the area. Wished I had known how good their breakfast was all along. Great coffee, good eggs and delicious pancakes. It is cash only and they serve Pepsi products which isn't ideal but reason for 4 stars instead of 5 is because they don't have biscuits. Sandwiches served on toast or bun. Grits looked good, I will be trying them next time.
