The Spirit Lake Casino, The VIEW restaurant offers a warm and welcoming atmosphere with a great view of Devil's Lake. Thin T-Bone steaks are cooked correctly and taste good, while sides like wild rice and Brussels sprouts are also good. The Prime Rib is a highlight, with friendly staff providing prompt service and a clean, neat environment.
The restaurant is set up in a semi-circle so that most, if not all, tables can look outside at the lake. The decor of the restaurant is fairly simple except for the wave-shaped accents on the ceiling. The food is really good, with the blooming onion being a standout dish. The pan-fried salmon is nicely crunchy on the outside, and the potatoes and Brussels sprouts are perfect.
The waitstaff is attentive and on top of things, but the reception and check-out process can be confusing at times. The restaurant could also benefit from more thorough cleaning, particularly in the carpet and heater areas near the windows.
