I had the privilege of stopping in Valley City for a few days and absolutely HAD to try this quaint little bakery. Clearly a local favorite and I can see (and taste) why. So many bussin donut flavors and other tasty treats (mini pies, muffins…). And the pumpkin spice donut? AhhhMazing!!

I simply couldn’t believe my favorite Jalapeño Juneberry Donut was made into a cake for my birthday! It was incredible!! I’d get it for any holiday! ?

We had the jalapeño juneberry cake for my granddaughters birthday and I was Leary because I’m not a spicy food type of person. I must say this cake was amazing! The cake was so moist and delicious, the spice tied in perfectly with the sweetness. I would give this cake a 10+!

After 6 hours on the road we randomly pulled off in Valley City ND intending to walk and sightsee before continuing our journey, We stopped in the welcome center/DMV/museum where a delightful lady suggested the new bakery in town. The donuts were terrific and worth a special trip.

Wild Prairie Bakery did cake for my daughter's wedding. It was wonderful! We had sheet cakes of carrot cake, almond cake, and marble cake. They were all excellent! I especially liked the carrot and almond. I'm not usually a huge fan of frosting but the buttercream frosting is great! The service was great too and they made sure I didn't over buy! Thank you for a wonderful experience!

Delicious bakery treats in a vintage "town square" storefront, complete with exposed brick and painted tin ceilings. Come for the fried cinnamon bun with cream cheese frosting or banana cream pie filled doughnuts as big as a cat's head; stay for a delicious lunch special or just for the cute merch and friendly wait staff. This place is special.
