Los Saguaros Mexican Restaurant

My wife and I and another couple did take-out food for dinner from the Tomate Mexican Grill on a Friday night in May. We ordered at the counter, and the food was ready in a very short time. My wife and I had the tacos, and they were really good. Three came in a small box, very flavorful, corn shells and content. A great place to get food. You might be able to eat there, but there is not much seating.

Husband and I went for a dinner date and it was all excellent. I absolutely LOVED the shrimp tacos, the ceviche, and the Chimichangas are always a hit. This was a first time we dined together in the newer locations and I was very impressed with the beautiful atmosphere. We adore the family who runs it. Always fast, friendly service. Highly recommend!

Dinner was so delicious, we had to come back for breakfast before we to continued our road trip. We are out of towners and definitely encourage you to stop here to satisfy all your mexican food cravings. The inside of the restaurant is very clean and decorated nicely. The burritos are super filling. The Cali burrito and breakfast burrito were unique, flavorful delights. Support small, family businesses who place careful care and intention in the food they serve. You will not be disappointed.

Very expensive for a Mexican restaurant burriitos are small for price taste is ok should just go to Williston or Dickinson for good quality Mexican food

Always great food here! The prices are very good for this area. It's a family run business that cares about their customers. The best Tres Leches cake anywhere. Great family and great place to eat.

Had the chicken enchiladas and the ground beef burrito. I wanted to try two things on my first visit. The enchiladas as a red sauce but it is more like a chipotle sauce. It was still good, though. The burrito was good. The salsa for the chips were good too. Service was fast for the lunch hour. Will go back again.

We were passing through Watford City and TripAdvisor gave Tomate Mexican Grill a good rating. Though my husband's first preference (enchiladas) are not on their menu, the burrito asada and chips he ordered was large and flavorful. My order of quesadilla asada included 2 large quesas plus rice. Both meals were plentiful and tasty. There are some amenities I felt were missing... their side dish of rice or beans only included refried beans (I prefer the healthier black beans); we both wanted a Coke but they only sell 20 oz bottles (we asked for glasses to split a Coke but they only had Styrofoam coffee cups and NO ICE); the restaurant itself is very, very compact and all 3 small tables around us were very, very tippy. It lacks any kind of romance but it does have a quirky, small town atmosphere which I kind of liked. This is undoubtedly my only pass-through of Watford City. If I lived here, would I be a repeat customer? Overall, yes, I would. I'd be more inclined to do take out (which would mitigate most of the shortcomings) and enjoy the ample servings of some pretty good Mexican food.

New, clean, food was fresh, so much better than the usual Mexican chains in the Midwest. Had three chicken tacos and they were very tasty with salsa and guacamole on top. Server was very friendly, service was fast, generously gave us a few little churros on the house as it was near closing.
