Called and emailed with my best friend about her birthday cake. She was told it would it was ok for her to pick it up at 11 am on 8/24… called this morning to let them know she would be there around 11:15 and was met with no recollection of the order. Very disappointed in the amount of service she was given, they did nothing to make the situation right and she was offered no alternative. Ruined a birthday party for sure.

This bakery is tucked away at the back of a retail strip mall. Trust your navigation system, it’s worth the trip. I searched for the best cinnamon rolls, but left with half a dozen stuffed cookies and a lemon blueberry scone. Stuffed cookies are not my go to treat, I purchased them for my grandsons, but they were the most balanced and tasty stuffed cookies I have tasted. The red velvet with cream cheese frosting conveyed the depth of the cocoa and the tang of the cream cheese. The Oreo was not overly sweet and with a glass of cold milk, the perfect treat. My favorite was the lemon, blueberry scone. It was tender, perfectly tart without being overpowering and the blueberries shone through. The space is charmingly appointed with a commercial kitchen that the chef offers classes and demonstrations. The next time that I visit Fargo, Sonder Bakehouse will be one of my first stops.

If you really want to impress someone, this is the place to go! I just got a cake for my girlfriend and it is beautiful and delicious. Beyond that, the store is so cute. Definitely has a specialty boutique vibe. Staff is friendly and the owner was very helpful. It’s obvious that she puts a lot of care and passion into each item. You can tell it’s more than just goodies for her. She’s an artist.I love to support small business with local ownership. For me, it’s a plus that it’s a female-owned business. 5 stars. Super impressed! I’ll be back.
