My wife and I went to go have dinner at williston nd Applebee's this evening. Unfortunately we sat there for 10 to 15 minutes and not one person came to take our request for drinks, appetizers, or main course meal. Manager Sat/stood at the bar and other waiters/waitresses walked around doing g their thing .we left. Went someplace else.

Overall terrible experience and we love Applebees. We were in town visiting with family, so this particular one was new to us. And trust me when I say we will not be returning. Started with our waitress, she was very inattentive, spent time laughing with coworkers but not checking up on tables or back with us in a timely manner to see if we were ready to order. Did not know the menu well enough to answer specific questions we had about certain items. The food, was less than desirable. Steak was tough, had to “saw” through it with knife, salad was brown and slimy, bun on sandwich was very soggy, ribs overdone. Atmosphere, very very warm in there, yes it’s 95 degrees out, but we found out after we ate that the air conditioning was out of service. Maybe a sign on the door or mention to those coming in that this would be an issue during their experience. The manager was going from table to table asking people to leave reviews, mentioned the air being broken and asking patrons to specifically state on review they seen the manager on the floor. Even with all of this, we tried to make the most of it. Myself, I am a server and know what it’s like to have bad days and be understanding. We didn’t really complain, other than ask for a new salad and stressed that we know what it’s like and sorry to ask and we know this was not the waitresses fault.
Our real issue came when it was time to pay the bill. We were practically forced to use the table top machines if paying by card. 2/3 was paying by card, the other cash. Waitress took the cash right away, kept going back and forth to the till but still not bringing change back to us. We had issues with machine, waitress would try to help instead of just taking our cards and going to run on her end. We ended up figuring it out, paid what was due on our slips. Then the waitress comes back with the change from cash payment. Counted it and realized it was short about $15. Waitress claimed that one of the credit card payments didn’t pay their full amount. Why would we do choose to only pay a percentage of our bill? We asked for receipts to be printed. Asked for precious said manager, who came out after telling the server there was nothing she could do, which the server told us before manager got to us. Manager was LESS than helpful. Refused straight out to print us our receipts so we could see what the totals were to compare them to what we paid. Because the math was not adding up what so ever. The waitress literally held that cash ($100 bill) for a $36 order until the cards went through. Then took it upon herself to not give the entire change due for that specific ticket because there was an outstanding $15 left to be paid. I tried explaining to the manager that I understand but I just wanted to see the receipts and if that’s truly the case we will pay the extra that was supposedly shorted. No receipts of proof provided. I finally got pissed off and stormed out and will never return, nor would I encourage anyone else to.
I am a server myself, and a good one at that. I don’t return food or complain when i go out because I know what it’s like. But this encounter was absolutely awful.

Put our dinner order in for takeout last night. For 2 people we ordered 2 burgers, soup &salad, appetizers and when we go to pick it up the girl says it’s not ready and for us to wait outside and someone will bring it out to us as they’re understaffed. Mind you we even waited an extra 15 minutes to go pick up our dinner. So after waiting for a little bit I go check on my phone and see that our order says “completed” and the time completed was almost 25 minutes past - we go back and she said she would talk to the manager, and comes back after a couple more minutes and pulls our bag of dinner from a cubby in between the the door to go outside and inside 🤯! So we got home to cold food. My order was supposed to be garlic mashed potatoes and instead I got cold fries. I understand if you’re busy, we don’t order takeout and not leave anything for a tip as well. I just wanted hot food for the $83 that we paid. And the order to be right. This is why I don’t like to pay until we get our food.

Got food poisoning got dinner a burger they rain out so I ordered beef nachos was not hot asked them to reheat they bring it back still was not hot then they give me wings so hard would not hole in wall dont go if 2 hours till close was sick for 3 days then a week later then gets in touch with me told him everything then proceeds to tell me i did not get it from them which I did not eat nothing that day but my order that I ordered last time i checked i know my body when I'm sick but he tells me different then says going to send me gift cards which to this day 6/7/2025 still not received so yea just be careful eating there

Well Construction equipment float shoes and collars, oil equipment sand gards and cyclones, rig parts tools and equipment
Horrible service.
The food is delicious, however the attention we received from the waitress was terrible, you go to the place in person to enjoy the place, but we wanted to run away, he forgot the order like 3 times, I have it incomplete, zero cordial, we have been in other franchises and the attention is different nothing to do; We only highlight Matt's attention that without having to see in the order if he has customer service! Only to him I would give stars and good camouflages.
