Probably the best Czech , kolaches, rye bread and cinnamon rolls for miles around. The Bohemian Cafe didn’t have anything over Tonnette!
Parking: There is often parking below and up on the hill east of the cafe.
The place used to be a school building…lots of room.

Old school, nothing fancy, good homemade food type of place. Had roast pork, potatoe dumplings, and kraut, their Wednesday special. It was awesome.

When I'm in the mood for Vepřo knedlo zelo I make the 60 mile drive to the only place on the planet that makes it the way I like it! Even if you're not into Czech cuisine, Abie's Place is a rare find. I love the small town atmosphere and the super friendly people. As a bonus, you can pick up some of the best kolaches on this side of the Danube.

Well worth the motorcycle ride from Omaha. The food is good and reasonably priced. The kolaces were delicious and survived the trip home. Definitely recommend

I recently discovered a Gem in a small town 25 minutes from Wahoo, Ne. The food is delicious with great prices. The waitress Mary works the whole place and does a great job making you feel welcome. Their Wednesday roast pork, dumplings and kraut are reason enough to make the drive there. Everything I have ordered off their menu is superb. The kolaches are delicious. Check it out, you won't be disappointed.

So the famous Bohemian Cafe in Omaha shut down a few years ago. Run into the ground by the children of the original founders. So along with me, and a couple friends and family, we made the 2-hour drive from Omaha into Abie's place to get a little little taste of Czechoslovakian authenticity. It did not disappoint. The food was amazing. The service from Mary and her staff was off the chart great. The back and forth banter with the entire staff was hilarious, and by no means interfered with the dining experience. We shared photos of our kids, along with a few fun stories about life the universe and everything. There is nothing bad I can say about this establishment. I was at first skeptical about the 4-Hour round trip commitment. But it was totally worth it. If you're hungry, go there right now. Last thing: kolaches. I'm not a big dessert guy, And mixing fruit and pastry is definitely not my thing. But Abie's does them in a way that makes me a convert.

Great Food & Great people.
Great service. Good food and a couple of us bought kolaches to boot.
Just returned from Abie's Place today. The place was packed with people listening to the Blecha Combo band. Ordered Cod dinner and can say it was delicious. The Pilsner Urquell beer is also available there. I highly recommend this place!👍😍
The place to be, housed in a renovated schoolhouse, with the gym doubling as needed for polka parties. Abie's is known statewide for authentic Czech cuisine as well as American favorites.
