I rate Mexican restaurants around the US. La Herradura is good for a small-town Nebraska restaurant. Serving pinto beans with the chips and salsa is a nice touch. They tend to get a little busy and could use more servers. The food is good quality and very tasty, but more Tex-Mex-style than Mexican. The prices are more reasonable than most places. A good value and experience for the money.
Cane in half an hour before close. We were seated right away. Out server brought us fresh warm chips and some of the best charro beans I've had in a while. Our food came out quickly. I had a chicken chili that was stuffed with moist, deliciously seasoned chicken. My hubby had bistec, a generous portion of steak and peppers. My only complaint would be that there is no really hot salsa. The tomatillo based salsa has a little kick, but I wouldn't call it hot. Will definitely...
We love this place! The food is always so good and the staff is amazing and treat you like family! Shelby our waitress is always so pleasant and does such a good job! Lili and Omar the owners are the best people! They always greet you and make you feel welcome and make sure you have a great experience!! Highly recommend!!!!
