Our first visit to The Beaver Corner bar was wonderful! The atmosphere and the owners Leda and Vern were welcoming and the Pizza we ordered was the best!! Stacy, a server at BCB, was prompt and informative of the menu items. Elvis, is a favorite of the owners and Elvis memorabilia peppers the establishment. There's a pool table, a gaming area, and a juke box to add to the activities. One of the walls at BCB is a chalk board. It touts the weekly specials, beers on tap and clever witticisms- many of Stacy's contributions. If you're looking for a short road-trip, Beaver Corner Bar in Beaver Crossing is 20 some miles West of Lincoln on I-80 and a great little place to visit! I highly recommend you experience BCB for yourself!!
Grabbed some food, it was taco nite. Got a taco salad, and a couple soft shells to go. Laid back atmosphere.
Great food and the live band was great. The place was packed and everyone was having fun.
Traveling across country in an RV and pulled over at the county park for the night. Googled restaurants and this was walking distance from campground. Weds. was Taco night, shared a Large Nachos Supreme. with a couple cold beers, Very tasty and hit the spot. Nice decor and friendly stafff. They were having issues with new CC machine and we were short on cash so they let us drop the cash off on our way out the next morning rather than walk back and forth to the RV in the dark.
Great atmosphere friendly people good food
What turned into almost a dinner free night was saved by Beaver Bar. We were about to stay at a free camping site on a local very windy Nebraska wildlife area, when a local saw our Wi plates, and lead us to their town park with free camping and wind break. I took our grandson to the bar we noticed on our way into town to get some vittles, and was happy to see Beaver could provide. Waitress was great, and got the grandson some coloring books while we waited., and some free pickle fries (fried pickle spears). We needed fire wood, and the waitress called the corner store ( The Dead Zone, who thought that up), to inquire. Store didnt have any, and was closing, but the owner said just knock, and she would come down, and open up if we need anything else. I ordered 4 cheeseburgers with different toppings (mine w/just fried onions). The suprising menu item was the fried gizzards, and chicken livers! I notice these on a lot of bar menus further west from Wisconsin. We got a 6 pack Coors (pricey $10 )thanks to on-off sale. Burgers were average bar burgers, but were tasty enough, and came with choice of fries. I got curly, tasted like Arbys, which I love. Fried organ meats, tender livers , chewy, but not tough gizzards hit the spot on this cold, but mostly wind free night at the town park in our tent. Hats off to the local man who lead us here, hope to stop through some day again.
