Honestly, I’ve only ever had one experience that was just “okay,” and that was completely on me—I got sidetracked and forgot to place my order online, so I had to order at the window instead. Every other visit has been absolutely wonderful. No matter if I order online or in person, Jaxon (Jackson) always goes above and beyond to make sure I’m taken care of. His attention to detail, positive attitude, and genuine care for customers really stand out. He’s friendly, professional, and always makes sure everything is right before I leave. You can tell he truly takes pride in what he does, and that kind of service is rare these days. I’m genuinely thankful he works there—he’s the reason I keep coming back!

Would not recommend. Drive down the street to Moon Hollow and you’ll have a MUCH better experience. Hell, I’d even prefer McDonalds over the lack of customer service I’ve gotten here. Have placed multiple online orders, every time no one greets you when you walk in, you’ll sit there for 10 minutes before anyone says anything. Owner was more concerned with discussing the fact they were slower this weekend than last rather than checking on people standing right in front of the clearly posted “pick up” area. The food isn’t bad, but not worth the hassle in my opinion.

Went there Sunday morning before church to study. Heard gospel music on the speakers and set the mood for my day. Coffee is great, service is top-notch. I love that they have a cafe section if you want to study and enjoy a coffee, but also a small dining area if you want to eat with friends or family. The dining area even has board games, a great spot for a date night!

There was an issue during my visit but the way it was handled by the owner has been above and beyond. I'm a big supporter of locally owned businesses and very much appreciate what goes in to running one; especially when issues come up and I commend the owner on her response.

It's not much to look at inside, and the lighting seemed kind of harsh. However, that was more than offset by the OUTSTANDING service by Michael E and the rest of the staff. I had eggs Bennie, hash browns, and a short stack. All of it was just a touch overdone, but not egregiously so. Holly sauce can be really touchy, but that was the highlight of my meal. It's my favorite breakfast, and the only better eggs Bennie I've had in Omaha was at First Watch. Very reasonably priced and very good food, with marvelous service.

My family and I have been to Hay Jay's a few times now and the food is always great! We love that they have a variety of kids items along with the normal breakfast & lunch options for my wife and I. They have coffee and non-coffee drinks inside and through the drive thru too! Great for on the go when you're in a hurry. I highly recommend this locally owned Bennington/West O cafe.
