You already smell the old beautiful Nebraska
Good ol hometown truck stop food, very good as usual
Small town cafe with great food and service. Stopped for breakfast and left with a feel good feeling and happy we stopped. Definitely not hungry!
Cash only but good food friendly people
On an old and mostly forgotten highway that has long since been bypassed is this sweet little cafe. It is an absolute blast from the days of times past . Good basic food, a sweet and attentive waitress. Frequented by the locals almost exclusively I'm sure but we were greeted with a happy hello from the two tables of fellow diners when we walked in.Plenty of space to park the largest of vehicles trailers or big rig trucks. Very fair prices.clean. friendly. Super easy access of of the main highway.Highly recommend !!!

Great hometown cafe
As a kid my family would drive from Omaha to Hays, KS and Otis, KS to visit relatives. Foote Cafe was one of our go to stops for lunch. You could get a good burger and pie there. Some don't remember that Highway 81 used to go straight through town right past Foote Cafe. For some reason the roads department moved 81 to the east around Chester, probably to save the need to slow down in town. But the loss of the spur of the moment stopping traffic for food and gas really hurt the cafe.

Best homemade food and great service.
Friendly service, good food, fair price. We were on the road with our dog so we took ours to go.
Visited with my dad when I was a kid and still love it small town friendly
Awesome food and great service
Good old school highway diner that is literally off the beaten path. It looks a little unkempt from outside, but hey, they're still chugging along. And the fact that people come from miles around speaks volumes! I come in from Kansas!
