I grew up in Nebraska, retired a year ago, moved to Illinois. They do not know what Runza’s are, so the Columbus, NE store made 35 original and 15 Swiss mushroom, they froze them, with the help of a employee Jason, this evening we packed them in 2 coolers, and he put them in my car! I just didn't lize Runza the food item. Hamburger stuffed into dough or maybe it's sealed into a sandwich. Regardless, it's so greasy that the outside dough is translucent on the bottom by the time you get it. Other than that it's a clean, well run fast food restaurant the food just didn't live up to the hype my Nebraska relatives put on it.
It was really busy when I went. The burgers and runza sandwiches are good but the fries are mediocre and oversalted. Their onion rings make everything on their menu taste like crap... Even their drinks. The service is good and I got my food quickly despite how busy they were.
