Very nice atmosphere. It's one of the few places that has actually kept the theme: story. Even the bathroom was book themed. Workers were friendly and conversational. It's pretty quiet until children get off school.

Stopped at Stories this morning on my way back to Kearney for work. I went to visit my aunt last night and got rained in North Platte. Nothing was open in North Platte when I left. Lucky for me that meant I was able to stop at Stories in Gothenburg. Adorable little coffee shop of Maine st and can tell the coffee is good quality by how Incredible it smelled in there.
Lovely staff was knowledgeable and a delight to meet. Destiny asked me if I liked sweet or bitter and made the perfect recommendation for me. I also got a scone. I got the Golden Girl. Yummy brown sugar deliciousness.
She stands out as a great employee who really cares as a gentleman behind came in and she was able to tell the young barista his order and he didn't say a word. She also knew his name. As someone who has worked in restaurants most of my life, I love love to recognize employees who actually care a lot and it shows. Give her a raise, she is the heartbeat of your business.
I'm excited to come back in a few months to see Stories new location. Great job Stories
Update: I stopped by again a week later on my way to Imperial to see my parents. Destiny was working and remembered me and my drink. Please please give that sweet lady a raise! She is friendly and really really cares. 5 star employee.

I'm from Chicago just driving through, this place is an absolute GEM. I wish they moved it to the big city! Most delicious cold brew outside of my own home. Zero bitterness, doesn't even need cream. So delicious!
Ashley and Hannah were awesome. Super friendly, great Americano and atmosphere. If you are traveling through Gothenburg on I-80 and need a great coffee this is the place. If I lived here locally I'd be here everyday:) Blessings!
