I don't know anything about the bakery. This review is for La Mexicana restaurant in about the same spot. In ascending order: The entre was very good. The chips were excellent. The "salsa for chips" was special. The salsa verde was AMAZING. The atmosphere is festive. There was a surprising number of couples having dinner, of all ages, despite the atmosphere being a very cheery hole-in-the-wall. I can't remember the last time that I had a meal out this memorably good.

I'm always a little worried about restaurants that don't have recent reviews, but we passed this on the way to a couple of breweries that despite the hours on Yelp we're closed on a December Monday night. La Mexicana is no frills but the food was good quality, well prepared and tasty. I had a chicken torts, extra points for authentic roll. Added condiments from the well stocked salsa bar to bring a little heat. Tortilla chips are great. My husband had soft tacos and gladly finished off my rice and beans. Way better than I expected to find in the middle of Nebraska!

Excellent food, reasonably priced. Great customer service. Love the chips and salsa as well as the self-serve bar of chilis & toppings (cilantro, onion, pico, etc.) Menudo is fire!!!

Amazing food!! I didn't believe I would find such authentic Mexican food in Nebraska but who knew!! Try the pozole or anything for that matter it's good highly recommended!! The bakery next door has all the delicious pan dulce and even fresh churros!!

Authentic and delicious! As a girl who grew up in LA, I love real, authentic, non Americanized Mexican cuisine. Had lengua tacos with a side of frijoles and loved every bite: delicious. Can’t wait to try menudo!
