This place is awesome. Their beer is really good, and then I tried the pizza which might be better than their beer! All around great dining experience, and very family friendly. Our young kids had a great time playing the pinball machines while waiting for their food to arrive. Great kids meal options as well for kids who don't like pizza.

Very family friendly with pinball machines and options for the kids. They also feature a party room that you can rent and has outdoor covered seating along with plenty of space inside and TVs all around to watch the game. I plan on going back and trying more of their beers.

This brewery has plenty of positives, from arcade to ample meeting space, a kitchen serving pizza and other items, and plenty of free parking. The brew selection is awesome, with over a dozen selections. But if you want interesting details, make a point of asking the owner/brewer, who loves explaining what he has made.

Now for the negatives, which may not matter to the vast majority of people. The scan-for-menu app is glitchy and does not display well (other reviews have complained about this). Until this is worked out, staff should have a physical copy of the menu, but none was available or offered. This is why much of the kitchen menu was not accessible to the extent I was expecting.

Also, the pricing on beer is not very clear, particularly regarding growlers. While I appreciate the difference in glasses used for select beers, few will know what 1L means regarding HeavyFeast. A full liter? This requires clarification. The same is true of beer flights. However, since they do not accept cash, people using credit/debit cards won’t notice till it hits their account. Between the scan-menu and pricing, this process needs to be idiot proof and transparent so customers can quickly come to enjoy what they want.

Also, street signage in Gretna is often missing either because of storms or vandalism. I recommend charting out the location of the brewery on Google maps and visually plot each turn particularly if you are not familiar with Gretna. You will know you are in the right area if you are near the Gretna water tower as it is just south of the brewery.

This place is fantastic! We didn't eat, but tried 5 different beers and a craft cocktail and they were all great! The owner/brewer was our bartender and provided exceptional service and conversation. Highly recommend!

Love this place! Pizzas are unique and delicious. LOVE that they have a few coctails on tap--they are awesome. Friendly staff, fast service, amazing selection of craft beers. We love going to music bingo nights.

Just stopped by for a quick flight and a half pint before a wedding. This place was packed with families of all ages but the service was on top of it and I had zero problems getting my beers. The beer was good and I was told the pizza is just as good. Bear in mind they only take credit cards; no cash. I recommend this place!

Heavy is easily one of my favorite breweries in the area. From their unconventional and fun ways of naming their delicious beers and pizzas to their family friendly atmosphere and now music scene, it's simply a must to experience.

We normally love this place. Our kids were dancing and “playing” while we listened along and played music bingo and had dinner and drinks with friends. As we left, we were told “this isn’t a playground” by an employee. Our kids did nothing but dance and play together and occasionally run in an empty hallway which we corrected and took them outside. Apparently not family friendly and don’t intend on going back. Highly disappointed considering we’ve done our share supporting this local business.
