2nd Street Slammer Nightclub

We went to listen to a great band - they told the band at sound check that the music was too loud. It was NOT loud at all. The band left before they started, so we left also. Don't have a band if you don't want it to be loud.

I did not see any drink lists or displays so I asked what they had. Bartender responded by mockingly asking if I've ever even drank before. She stonewalled when I refined my query to ask which beers were on hand. I tried asking specifically for a Miller Lite, which is apparently not stocked. The bartender then brought the bouncer to have him scrutinize my ID, presumably having assumed I am underage based on my unfamiliarity with the drink options. I do not recommend this establishment to prospective patrons, as staff seem to cater exclusively to regulars. My recommendation for the owner is to either spend the 10¢ of paper and toner to print a drink list or use the ample bar space available to display sample cans of what is stocked so new customers may avoid such hostile staff interactions.

Does the slammer ever have a dart tournament on the weekends? Just asking because I just moved to Lincoln, Ne.

It's not just a place to grab a drink. Features Darts, Billiards, and Sand Volleyball leagues throughout the year as well as various forms of live entertainment. Everything from live music to the occasional night of midget wrestling or a mechanical bull. Great place to get to know people

This place was great. If you are looking for a good time, darts, pool, this is the place. Next time I'm in hastings I'll be stopping by again

Poor management i seen the manager go up to a guy doing nothing wrong and accuse him of fighting. Place is always dirty. If your looking for drinks dont expect much

Good drinks and a fun place to dance

Asked for my card and tab, got to wait 15 minutes while the lady helped everyone else, and she even took a shot right in front of us. Someone said she was the owner. Priorities lady....Saw at least 4 people have to be carried out because they were so drunk they couldn't walk. Almost slipped on puke in the bathroom. Than watched a bunch of fights start in the parking lot as I was trying to leave. Horrible service and experience, will never be back.

Owner, manager and bouncers are all awesome people who treat their customers like family. The atmosphere is like no other in the greater tri-city area!
