I should have tried the burger, as that looked good. The mushroom runza was ok. Not that flavorful, and the bread was uninteresting. We shared the onion rings, and everyone commented how little flavor there was. The rings had a nice amount of firm onion, not overcooked. I really enjoyed the soft-serve swirl. The prices are very reasonable.
We Love bringing friends from out of state to try this delicious Nebraska staple. Everything is amazing, from the burgers and rings, to the Runzas and fries, and every chili bowl with a cinnamon roll in between.
I was hoping to get a Runza in a bowl without outer crust as I am gluten free. Some of the Runza shops do this, but this one does not. The fries were crispy, the salad was good. I had to take the chicken off as it was breaded. Some of the Runza shops serve it with grilled chicken. (Again, gluten..which being celiac, I can not tolerate). IThe service was quick and accommodating.
