Prime rib is unreal, and the staff are incredible! Owner checked in on us as if we were guests in his own home. Worth the drive!

If you want to eat "fancy", they have options for you to pay "fancy". Is it "fancy" though? No. But with the right amount of butter and/or lard, everything tastes amazing.
If you grew up in Nebraska with a grandmother who cooked with lard and butter as a main ingredient to everything, or in a small town with a diner, cafe, or bar that did the same, that's what to expect (they probably have the same dish wear from the cafe you grew up with) it's all alright, because most of it's fried, and what isn't falls back to the lard and butter ?.
That said, if you think it tastes good, I suppose you could say the "fancy"/more expensive dishes are worth the prices, but I can drive to another small town and have twice the serving, half the cost, 1/4 increase on bad cholesterol, and zero tchotchkes - To be fair, I'm open to tchotchkes if they are fun and interesting; these just seem to be farm sale leftovers.
Vegetarian options: Fries and side salads, this is a Midwest eatery. This is normal.
Dietary restrictions: Had to have the grilled chicken and fries, because, as I noted in my review, everything else is breaded and fried, so gluten and dairy are in or touch everything
Parking: Street parking is curbside and center of the main street. If you're not familiar with small towns, you'll understand when you see it.
Kid-friendliness: It's a small town bar/restaurant, kids are always expected, though not accommodated, don't expect a "play place."

We had seen the signs about this place and decided to try it out. A bit of a drive from Omaha but we thought it was worth it.Wife had the Prime Rib with the pepper crust which she deemed one of the favorites she has had. That is quite the compliment as she is a conesuer of Prime Rib. It came with a side salad or soup. She choose the salad. It was a standard salad but the ranch was very good. She chose hadhbrowns as he side and they were excellent.I had the ribeye with the Dijon whiskey preparation. It was outstanding while a little lighter on the flavor than I was hoping. I also had the hashbrowns..crispy...so freaking good! The only minor disappointment was the bread they bring out. They bring out this amazing mini loaf of homemade bread...but then you realize it's not warm. A total miss on their end by not at least warming it up.Overall it was a very good meal at a reasonable price. If you like a bit something out of the norm, I'd recommend checking them out.Forgot to take pictures but it's a good little spot.

Very over-priced Easter dinner. 2 slices of ham, small amount of mashed potatoes and sad, soggy canned vegetables. $18.99! Outrageous. No roll or salad. Won't be back.

There were 6 people in our party and out of the six my meal was the only one not satisfying. I had the prime rib and the au jus and it was cold and so was the meat. The rest of my meals was good. The other 5 enjoyed their meals of chicken fried steak, fried chicken and of chicken and shrimp dinner. I just want you to make sure that the prime rib and au jus are warm to hot for people. It might have been just an off night for that meal.

Why advertise in Waterloo if you don't want to serve people from out of town? Every table got offered drinks except us. We got our drinks at the bar because we didn't get service. Then the hostess finally came and asked us if we paid for our drinks?

Don’t waste your time driving to Hooper. we thought it would be a fun Night wow we were wrong. We had to go to the bar to get our own drinks and then were harassed by the staff asking if we paid for them many people that came in after us seated before we were offered a seat ended up leaving. When we had been waiting for over an hour to be seated
