The food is consistently good. The broasted chicken is a staple. The chef, Josh, is from the eastern US and he is outstanding! He makes a special soup every week and has specials several times a week. The wait staff is great. Don't be in a hurry and enjoy your experience.
If you want to eat "fancy", they have options for you to pay "fancy". Is it "fancy" though? No. But with the right amount of butter and/or lard, everything tastes amazing.
If you grew up in Nebraska with a grandmother who cooked with lard and butter as a main ingredient to everything, or in a small town with a diner, cafe, or bar that did the same, that's what to expect (they probably have the same dish wear from the cafe you grew up...

They ran out of bread, but we showed later than usual dinner rush, so is understandable.
