We stayed at the Days Inn behind the restaurant and walked over. Very convenient. The food was so good! I was very impressed. I would definitely go again when traveling that way. Staff was pleasant, and the environment is very clean, well-lit, and nicely decorated.
Mediocre food - good place to eat if you just don't feel like cooking. Their chicken fried chicken/steak isn't homemade, it's a small frozen breaded patty that has been fried. Gravy tastes like it's from a packet. Pretty sure they use the same chicken patty for their 'hot cluckin' sandwich, only difference is that it's covered in buffalo sauce. One of few options open the night I was in Kimball. The kid serving me was new at this but was trying very hard. I enjoyed the rapport between the kitchen staff and customers - as they certainly new all the locals. Food was pretty good, but don't pass up the dessert - the owner recommended fresh rhubarb pie with ice-cream and it was sublime!
