My favorite place on the lake to eat! Fish and chips is always my go to. Sabrina is a wonderful server and loved having conversation with our group. She gave us an amazing drink recommendation too!

My family and I were looking for a restaurant to dine at near Lake McConaughey! The Cove was a pleasant surprise, the owner was friendly and kind in a welcoming environment! Very good food, we recommend Rib-Eye and Pretzel!

Such a great place. Every year we visit, we make sure to come and say hi. Staff is sweet and friendly. Food is pretty dang good too. Just a spot that you have to hit. If you are looking for a an uptight place to take your uptight wife and kids definitely skip this spot so non of us have to deal with you. Haha. But if you are laid back and enjoy the lake life come on by for a good time!

I've heard good things about this place, but my experience was horrible! Not once did the staff acknowledge our existence for the hour we were there until we were leaving. If you want service do not go here.

Ordered a steak. Received raw meat. Terrible service. Their only waitress was out back most of the time, sucking on her vape pen. Two hour, inedible meal… with kids. At least we were within a mosquito’s flight to the barely visible lake…

We went to the restraunt for dinner in June, it was a very pleasant experience, great steak and Broccolini ( my first time eating it Jill our waitress was very pleasant and we enjoyed talking with her, I hope she will be there when we return in the fall.

I wrote a Google Review as well but the only reason we stayed here was because ILOVELAKEMAC.COM listed it. You guys need to change that recommendation. First, I didn't HATE this place but it was pretty run down. I chose here because it has waterfront access but there were only a few places listed on that website. There were so many other lovely places that I could have chose from but I don't know why I didn't seek Trip Advisor first. I learned my lesson. We stayed in the "cabins." This place COULD be a gem but I'm not sure they have enough funds to update it. A few things could go a long way. Water pressure for one in the sink in the bathrooms. New faucet in the shower would also help. Ours was so run down it was difficult to turn them on and get the temperature correct. The showers were also so old there was no way I would let my kids set their butt in the tubs. The mattresses were okay but super bouncy (springs) and the sheets didn't cover the entire mattress. No bed bugs were found (I always look). The kids loved the bunks and the fact that the other bedroom could fit 4 meant our whole family could come but the walls are THIN! Our neighbor let their toddler scream all night. I imagine they use the Ferber method (close the door and don't check on them) or they were so drunk they didn't take care of their child. I get it's vacation but you can't let your kid scream all night! There was a band on Saturday night, we couldn't hear them. Not sure when they started (this is a good thing). We came in from the beach at about 9pm and couldn't hear them so that was a plus, especially after being awake all night the night before from the toddler. The people are nice but difficult to find. Not there on Sunday morning for check out which was a disappointment as we would have liked to have talked with them instead of reviewing online. I am shocked this is listed as a "wedding venue." No way! It's too run down. The food was subpar. I am shocked anyone said it's a 5-star quality restaurant. Nothing tasted "locally sourced." I don't eat out often so this was a treat but it was so disappointing. I make better food at home. Dishes were dirty so I had to rewash them all. DON'T open the dishwasher in Cabin 6. It falls on your shins!! No basket inside to wash dishes so I'm unsure why there is a dishwasher. I could see this place being a happening spot but it's so run down, it's likely going to disappear. Oh, and forget parking if you are in Cabins 5 or 6. All the people at the restaurant park there so you can't even park in front of the cabin you are renting. Is it too hard to designate ONE spot for each cabin??

The resteraunt at admirals cove delivers made from scratch locally sourced options to the customers. Chef Eric is creating something special. This place is fun- nice deck facing the lake. Live music on the weekends with food 2 steps above the usual bar food. I highly recommend this out if the way stop-

Sunday evening, family birthday, bar drinks were flat, sent three back more than once. Very small crowd, service was slow. Our waiter was great but he wasn’t running the kitchen. Mid meal an owner or manager decided to have a staff meeting in our dining area. Could hear every word of communication issues, staffing issues and concerns. I don’t spend a couple hundred on a family meal to be on a staff meeting. Menu is very eclectic but not great for kids ans families.

This place is wonderful! We came here for some brunch and it was totally worth it. Everyone was extremely kind and welcoming — so much that we will always remember how great this place is. The bloody Marys were fantastic and the food was so good. Definitely would recommend and it is worth the drive if you are staying closer to the dam also. Great lake vibes, awesome food, good drinks, amazing service, can’t go wrong. I hear the night life is great too, so we will have to come back for some live music!
