So usually I love this bar!! Big fan of the butter beer. Me and my friends came in tonight and the waitresses who was serving us let two groups ahead of us be seated who had arrived later than us. She had just forgotten about us apparently. Which is no problem, things happen. We all have two butter beers and we close out for the night. We are all charged 21 dollars. We find out the next morning that we all have charges for 26 dollars. The waitress had tipped herself. Now its 5 dollars, not that big of a deal. But you cannot have your staff doing that. That is very underhanded. I will be contacting the owner about this.Edit or reply to owner: Our group was only 3 people. And the waitress seated a group of 4 before us when we had arrived earlier. Which is why no one tipped. Also good to know about the new system. My charge still hasn't been "corrected" but I'm sure it will in time.

Alchemy’s attention to detail and their innovative drinks bring mixology to an art form. My favorite drink here is the Mahalo, but they also make a really really good chocolate Manhattan. Favorite place in the Haymarket to hang out with friends.

Their website and Google says they close at 1. We (a group of six) arrived at 11:55 and proceeded to sit down. A woman approached us and said they had closed and already called last call. I, obviously shocked, said “it says one online.” She told me when it’s slow they close early. I just want to share this review because anyone planning on visiting should be aware of the false advertising. My parents were in town, it was their last night, and they were eager to come and try the butter beer so it was super disappointing.

I'd had a rough postpartum and was so excited to finally get out and enjoy my first night out after having my baby, but because we had him with us, we were turned away. We came to enjoy time with coworkers and our son was asleep in his car seat. Every other place in the haymarket has allowed us to bring him, so this was odd and honestly rude to first time new parents. It was my first and last experience here. I should add that we were there for 45 minutes before we were asked to leave and refused service.

Alchemy has some of the best cocktails I have ever had. I tried each gin cocktail and they were out of this world! Loved their witchy, eclectic vibe and their bartenders were an absolute delight to talk to! This was a hidden upscale gem that I would visit again for sure!

I had a great time in downtown Lincoln the other night visiting some family. We stumbled across this cocktail bar called Alchemy. They had all sorts of fun names for their cocktails. The one I ended up picking was called Rut Row Raggy which was a gin based cocktail that was absolutely delightful and refreshing. We ordered up at the bar and the drinks were hand delivered to us at our seats. There was all sorts of seating to choose from including couches, luxury leather chairs and high top tables. There was also beautiful stained glass all around the room which felt like an old magical castle. They also had great music selections to match the atmosphere they were trying to creating. Alchemy definitely had the low light speakeasy feel to it, which I always enjoy. If you like a tasty cocktail and what feels like a luxurious private club you've found your new favorite spot!

This is a great spot to visit at least once just for the atmosphere. The lush leather chairs and sofas give it a luxurious private club feel (imagine classy men in suits smoking cigars and drinking whiskey type of feel.) There are many interesting drinks, but they are a bit pricey so I don't go very often. The service can be a bit slow, but that may be in an effort to maintain the relaxed atmosphere and the complicated drinks are obviously going to take longer to make.

If you want bourbon variety and also a place you can feel welcome, this is the place. Walked in and had an hour and a half coco with a regular about life. Sampled four great bourbons I've never tried before and chatted with staff. Normally I resist high marks but I have nothing bad to say. Great music and atmosphere.

This place is beautiful! The drinks are a tad pricey but they are worth it! This is a nice, quiet bar with great music. It would be a good choice if you are wanting to go somewhere where you hang out for a bit and talk.
